Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 5 has been ushered in by the fall of Galactus. With his mortality came some new goodies, boss battles, a dope Mandalorian skin, and some changes to the map. Your basic gunning and running are going to give you a few new occasions. However most of the best content is locked behind Fortnite season 5’s Battle Pass. There are extra goodies just waiting to be discovered. One of them is a piece of the Mandalorian’s Beskar armor. To help you discover this first piece and possibly battle Mando, we are going to share some viable information below.
How to Get Your First Beskar Armor Piece?
Buying the Season 5 Battle Pass will be able to unlock the Mandalorian skin. However like the Disney + show, the fans will need to complete quests if they hope to get a full Beskar’Kandar which is a type of armor composed of Beskar pieces. The first piece of Beskar armor (to be placed on the right shoulder) is able to be discovered by completing the Razor quest. Fortnite gives a guide by allowing Mando’s ship, the Razor Crest crash-landed somewhere on the Battle Royale map. It is up to you to discover it or you are able to check out the map with the location marked.
The Location of Fortnite Razor Crest
You are able to find the Mandalorian’s ship in a sand-covered area north of Lazy Lake. It’s location is right below a new area labeled as “???”. There is a best way to find it. You are able to pull up the map while on the battle bus and also mark its location. You do not have to be exact considering the ship’s size. When you dive out of the bus, you have to head towards the marker. You are going to start to see the Razor Crest come into view as you get closer to that section of the map. For your information, the smoke and debris are a dead giveaway. After you have landed on the beach, you will need to battle Mando and steal his jetpack. Of course, it is not the most honorable thing to do. It is only a jetpack.
How to Find and Fight The Mandalorian in Fortnite?
We get information that the Mandalorian is one of Fortnite’s new boss characters. Exploring the area near his downed ship in the sand-covered area north Lazy Lake, he is very easy pickings. It means that he is not hard to find at all. However battling him is another story. It is not because of his nice Beskar armor, but due to other players who want that jetpack.
If you want to find the Mandalorian solo, you are able to go on and take him out. He does not take many shots. We used a shotgun and a few pistol rounds. Also, his accuracy is not great. Though he will be able to fly, that can prolong the fight. After being defeated you will be able to take his jetpack and his Amban sniper rifle, which has to be one of the coolest guns in the game. If you zoom in painted heat signatures, that will make it easy to pick off faraway targets. Just flying above the players and sniping on decent is a chef’s kiss type of play.
What is Beskar Armor?
Apparently, the outfit of Mandalorian is well recognized by Star Wars fans. What makes this special character’s armor stand out though is the Beskar plating. It made by a near-indestructible ore discovered on the planet Mandalore, those metal plates could withstand direct blows from a light saber. Generally, it is very cool and worth snagging to wear into the battle, even though it does not give the real protective armor in Fortnite.
Fortnite Bounties Explained
As we are on the subject of shooting and robbing NPC, one should know that not every non playable character is a boss. Several of them give missions named bounties. That is, unless you shoot them. Some stray shots are no problem. A few more shots though and then they are going to attack you. Instead, it is better to approach these individuals calmly and ask about their bounties.
Those special missions need you to hunt down a rival player. Same with Call of Duty: Warzone, a yellow circle on the map is going to indicate their last known position. It is up to you to get to them before anyone else does (or the five-minute timer runs out), blast them to pieces, and then you are able to collect the reward. There is a new currency made up of the gold bars. For your information, the Gold bars are able to be discovered in chests, on the players, and earned by avoiding or dispatching the player who has been hired to kill you. The best method to get bars is by completing bounties though. Now, you are able to collect enough gold bars and then you will be able to buy weapons, consumables, and more from NPC’s. Even, you will be able to hire them to fight alongside you, as opposed to them hiring you to hunt down the other players. These are really fun times!
Other Fortnite Mandalorian Challenges
To get the complete set of Beskar armor in Fortnite, you will need to complete the rest of the Mandalorian’s challenges. Here are those challenges and rewards include:
- Complete a bounty. It will give you a helmet.
- Obtain weapon specialist accolades that will give you a left shoulder armor.
- Complete a legendary quest to get a torso armor.
- Discover Beskar steel deep in the belly of the shark to get a left thigh armor.
- Gather the bars. It will give you the right thigh armor.
- Find the Beskar steel where the earth meets the sky to receive a left arm armor.
- Beat Ruckus to get a right arm armor.
