When Is the New Among Us Map Coming Out? The Airship Early

Until now, there are three maps that you can use in Among Us. Those maps include The Skeld, Mira HQ and Polus. As an Among Us players, you may wonder when the new Among Us map is coming out. Here, we will reveal it for you.

When is The New Map of Among Us Coming Out?

Before we reveal about when the new map of Among Us is coming out, do you know what is the name of the map? Well, the new map is The Airship. This map is centered around the Henry Stickmin series based on the Airship owned by the Toppat Clan in the Henry Stickmin game entitled Infiltrating the Airship.

There is no exact date where this map will be coming out, but this map will be on the game in early 2021. So, you are able to hope that it will be coming out in January so that you can enjoy the map soon.

What Are The Rooms in The New Map?

Same as the previous maps in this game, there will be rooms in this new map as well. What are the rooms which will be found in The Airship map? You are able to see below.

• Cockpit

This room was shown on the first post of the Among Us Twitter account where it is based on the cockpit of the titular Airship from Infiltrating the Airship. It has a vent.

• Vault

It is a circular room which features the large ruby in Polish Ruby, a golden gun, a mound of gold and some mannequins with clothing.

• Electrical

It was confirmed to be on The Airship map on November 6th, 2020 by Marcus Bromander on his Twitter account. He gave a statement that it may be scarier than Skeld.

• Brig

This room is a long room and it will lead to the Vault, Engine Room and Gap Room.

• Medical

There is information that the task in this room is the Empty Garbage.

• Security

This is a small room which has three doors and also the Security ability.

• Meeting Room

There is not much information about this room, but according to Among Us Wiki, there is information that the tasks will be Empty Garbage and Enter ID code. However, these tasks are still a rumor.

• Gap Room

In this room, there will be a ladder and also a Platform which you are able to use to cross the large gap of the room.

• Engine Room

This is a large and long room which has entrances to the left, above and right as well. This is one of the three rooms where players may begin after an emergency meeting.

• Main Hall

This is another room that you can use to start in after an emergency meeting.

• Records

This is a large and circular room. It has four bookshelves, a table and two brown chairs. This room is also one of the three rooms which can be used to start in after an emergency meeting.

• Kitchen

This is a location which features a vent.

• Showers

This room can only be seen on the task list in the announcement trailer.

• Lounge

This room also can be seen only on the task list in the announcement trailer.

• Armory

You can only see this on the task list in the announcement trailer.

• Viewing Deck

You can only see this on the task list in the announcement trailer.

The Development of This New Map

There was a confirmation about The Airship map development which was officially announced by Innersloth on September 23rd, 2020. This new map is one of the new content which will be added to the Among Us game after the cancellation of its sequel, Among Us 2. Innersloth, on their developer log, announced that for all players it will be free. There will be two players who are featured who are the same as a Center for Chaos Containment employee and the Right Hand Man Reborn.

At the Game Awards 2020, the announcement of The Airship trailer was shown on December 10th, 2020. In that trailer, some locations of the map are declared and those are Meeting Room, Viewing Deck, Medical, Lounge, Cockpit, Gap Room, Armory, and Showers. Besides, they also state that there will be new tasks in the new map.

Previous Maps in Among Us

The first map in Among Us is The Skeld. It is the main and first map which was made in Among Us. In this map, the setting is on a spaceship in outer space. What is the second map in Among Us? It is Mira HQ. The setting of this map is in the atmosphere of the Earth. The facility of the map is owned by the recurring company MIRA.

The third map in Among Us is Polus. This map is also known as the Polus Outpost or Planet Polus. The setting of this map is on the planet Polus as a planetary base. In this map, there are some features including 12 new tasks, a spacious planet base which is bigger than the previous map, a unique type of security system, new door mechanics and a bathroom.
