A YouTuber named Daniloxidado then posted an Ace Attorney edit of the meme on March 3, 2021 which got more than 45,700 views in one month. A content creator named MarioIsBroken also uploaded a Super Mario version of the meme on March 4th and 5th to YouTube and Twitter where the video got over 919,00 and more than 44,400 views respectively.

In the next month, more remixes and edits of the video were posted online, mainly on YouTube. Apart from this, the video was reedited into rants about other viral memes. For example, a YouTubers named Triple-Q made a meme about “Gangnam Style” on March 23, 2021 that obtained more than 74,000 views in one week.

A reddit user, /u/The-Uncrustable also posted an image of a McDonald’s chicken nugget on October 20 that resembles a crewmate to /r/AmongUs, gaining more than 490 upvotes in four months. Thanks to many reddit users, Things That Look Like Among Us memes became rapidly popular.

2) Amogus

Another Among Us meme that went viral rapidly is Amogus. It is known that Amogus is a bastardized version of the 2018 video game called Among Us. Well, the word got popularity as a catchphrase in January 2021 used in ironic memes that often used to replace dialogue in cartoons.

Aside from that, Amogus refers to the simplified drawing of a crewmate from Among Us that was commonly used in the memes. This meme originally came from a reddit user, star-platinum___ that posted the earliest known meme on December 11, 2020 which referred to Among Us. This meme got viral during Autumn 2020 as ‘Amog Us’. Well, the post reportedly gained more than 680 upvotes, but he did not spawn a trend.

On January 16, 2021, a reddit user, Lewdvik also posted an edit of a panel from a cartoon by webcomic artist Stone Toss. The post showed the image that replaced one of the people in the comic with a white crewmate from Among Us and changed the dialogue line to the single word ‘Amogus’. Well, the post has gained more than 4,600 upvotes in the /r/antifastonetoss subreddit in only one month.
