How is the Warzone Pacific Map Described?
The Warzone’s Pacific map visually will change a new atmosphere from the war-torn environment of Verdansk to something more alive. Around the Pacific map, there will be a number of secret hidden places. We think you will get an unforgettable experience when spending your time in the Pacific.
The Pacific map is roughly the size of Verdansk. It is also built based on learnings from the community over nearly two years. The island is expected to be a fun and gorgeous gameplay space with many points of interest to discover with an exceptional depth of combat potential.
Just like other Call of Duty maps, the Pacific map is also built on the same tech and engine as Call of Duty: Vanguard weapon integration and play balance. All Call of Duty maps actually arrive with fully optimized cross-play, cross-gen support and cross-progression.
Activision, the Call of Duty developer, seems to show off the new footage of the Warzone pacific map that you can see on their official YouTube Channel. The most obvious change in the Pacific map is in the color pallete that will be more vibrant than Verdansk.
Moreover, the Pacific map provides a greater emphasis on various biomes as you can see during World War II. As we know, Verdansk always looked muted with lots of brown, grey, and tan colors that are so boring to look at as well as you also never looked at as many other contemporary shooter games.
Beyond the colors, the Pacific map in Warzone will have running waterfalls and rivers that is a huge leap forward. We hope that this new map will give a dynamic feeling with immersion at the forefront.
The difference between the Verdansk and Pacific map is in the nature. The Pacific map leans much more into nature than Verdansk. It also has its fair share of urban areas and buildings. Most of the areas are covered by mountains, hills, trees and also varied terrain.
In the Pacific map, there’s also a cave that appeared during the short teaser that could be totally attractive from a gameplay perspective. From the visually description, the Pacific map ideally provides traversing the map more fun, as there will be more protection with multiple ways to get around.
What Features Do the Warzone Season 7 Bring?
Aside from a new Pacific map, Warzone Season 7 reportedly brings a number of features to the game. As a leak, the feature will be something different to make the game more interesting to play from the previous season.
Raven Software in conjunction with partner studio Sledgehammer Games, High Moon Studios, Beenox and Toys for Bos shows a number of features that will come in Warzone Season 7 including new playlist, a new PC Anti-Cheat system, limited-time mode, a new Pacific map, community event and more.
To make it understandable for you, we’ll explain each feature below!
1. Weapons
Activision seems to add Cold War weapons that will run on a different engine, meaning it can all be a little confusing for some players. Aside from that, the Call of Duty developer will also feature some weapons from Cold War, Modern Warfare and Vanguard.
It seems daunting, however Vanguard will perform on an updated version of the Modern Warfare engine. Additionally, the WW2 weapon must be at least slot in a bit better to your current arsenal.
2. Anti-Cheat Feature
Activision seems to give a huge protection to the game by launching the anti-cheat software called Ricochet. This anti-cheat program uses the kernel-level drive to run on your computer. The Ricochet anti-cheat aims to fight an unfair play that often happens in matches.
Ricochet has some performance to protect the player’s gameplay from any potential cheatings efforts. It also runs to enhance investigation processes to drive away the cheaters. Aside from that, this anti-cheat also updates to give protection on the players’ account and more. Ricochet Anti-Cheat also has a feature called the backend security feature that will be released in the Warzone Season 7 along with the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard. This anti-cheat is reportedly used a combination of a kernel-level driver and machine learning algorithms to monitor the player’s behaviour.
Ricochet Anti-Cheat will dedicate to investigating the cheaters professionally. In fact, the kernel-level driver is such a great software that has been developed internally for the Call of Duty Franchise. Moreover, it aims to help identify the cheaters.
Even though the Ricochet is actually great to use in the game, but this Call of Duty anti-cheat still causes controversy, as there are a lot of players who complain that this anti-cheat seems to damage their computer. Reportedly, the Ricochet anti-cheat will run in the background, though the game has been closed.
