Playing games with your friends or the ones who share the same interest as you is always fun and a lot of people would agree with this statement. For those who are planning to play a game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, you might be wondering if you can play it with your friends or with the other players. So, does Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered have multiplayer features?
Unfortunately, the game known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered does not have multiplayer. While a lot of fans were hoping the remaster’s multiplayer experience would be released this year, an industry insider thinks that it will not be set for 2021 while some leakers have claimed that the multiplayer of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has been canceled.
Tom Henderson, who is known as the insider and the leaker of Call of Duty, has posted something on his official Twitter account saying that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer is not happening this year. The man is confident of this and named it as a fact. He is 100% sure and even said that he is willing to give away a total of 50 copies of the game if the thing that he said turns out to be false. Can everyone trust him? Considering he has been right about a lot of facts related to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise, the chance of him getting it right this time is high. However, it should be noted that he is not always right. In the past, some of his predictions were proven to be wrong. Feel free to think which one is right and which one is wrong.
While it is still not certain, a lot of fans expressed their disappointments under the tweet shared by Tom Henderson. Some of them agree that the Call of Duty: Modern 2 Warfare Remastered multiplayer would not happen. If you are one of the people who still believe for it to happen, some people suggest that there is a possibility of a modern audience not liking a remastered experience. The game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that was released in 2019 was a smoother game and when it is compared to Call of Duty: Modern warfare 2’s multiplayer that was filled with the likes or noob tubes, snipers, shotguns, and an outdated movement system.
Actually, Activision was never officially announced about the project, but two years ago, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was launched unexpectedly for several devices, including PlayStation, Xbox and PC. This one included the exclusive content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty: Warzone.
Everyone is wondering why the multiplayer was not included. Some of them are wondering whether the reason why it was not included is for it to be released at a later date. Some others think that Activision did not want to separate the player based from the latest title.
According to the developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered called Activision, the reason why the game does not include multiplayer features is because they want to focus on building one unified online multiplayer playground with the 2019 game.
Instead of releasing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer, Activision will bring more classic maps to Modern Warfare 2019. As stated in a blog post, they said the focus has been to bring players together seamlessly in one unified online multiplayer playground starting with Modern Warfare last year. They added that the Modern Warfare universe will expand with the cross play, releasing new post launch maps, modes, weapons and more content drops for free and launching Call of Duty: Warzone, the Free-Play, Free-for-Everyone new Call of Duty experience, which makes it possible to bring new experiences to the players.
Right now, the game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 already has classic maps such as Rust, Crash, Vacant, and Shipment. As for the Call of Duty: Warzone, the one that has the same item store as Call of Duty: Warfare, has classic areas such as Gulag and Boneyard.
In the future, there will be more classic maps coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as confirmed by Activision. According to the blog post, both Activision and Infinity Ward are looking to bring more classic map experiences to new life within the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare universe instead of releasing a separate, multiplayer experience as a standalone pack as it continues to grow and build over time. As of now, the players can look forward to enjoying this return to one of the greatest single player experiences ever, beautifully remastered by Beenox. Not only that, the players can also continue to enjoy the full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare universe experience whether they are jumping into multiplayer or dropping into Call of Duty: Warzone.
