METHOD 1: RESTART WINDOWS SPOTLIGHT

- After that, you have to click on the Personalization tile.
- Please ensure to stay on the default Lock screen menu.
- Under the Background section, you are able to choose “Picture” or “Slideshow”. Those options use images locally stored on your computer, not needing you to connect to and use the Windows Spotlight feature.
- The next step that you have to do is to press the Windows + X keys on your keyboard at the same time, then select Windows PowerShell (Admin) from the menu.
- If prompted, you are able to allow PowerShell to create changes on your computer by pressing the Yes button.
- Now, you have to copy and paste the command below into PowerShell.
Get-AppxPackage-allusers*ContentDeliveryManager*|foreach{Add-AppxPackage “$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml” -DisableDevelopmentMode -register}
- After you copy and paste the command, easily you are able to press the Enter key on your keyboard.
- When the re-registration is complete, simply restart your computer.
- In this step, you are able to repeat the first step to the third step. Then, simply choose Windows Spotlight option from Background menu. This will be able to ensure that you have the feature enabled again.
