For fighting the boss, you need ranged/ magic and melee along with a rock hammer.

In the first phase to beat Grotesque Guardians, after ringing the bell, there will be a cutscene where the guardians awaken and face the player. You cannot attack Dusk because he uses his wing to defend himself from all sources of combat. So, you have to attack Dawn first. Dawn can be found airborne so you need to attack her with ranged or magic because melee cannot reach her. For your information, she is more resistant to magic. So, it is recommended for you to range her.

When you see that Dawn reaches 55% of her life points, the two Guardians will stand on the eastern and western sides and they will do a lighting special attack. This attack has an AoE of 3×3, rapidly dealing up to 5 – 10 damage per tick. After this attack is done, Dawn will fly and Dusk will start to attack you.

You are able to minimize damage by using ranged armour while using Protect from Melee standing beside Dawn. It will cause her to attack melee sometimes.

In the phase 2, after attacking Dusk, you have to run away from him after his wing glows. It is because his first attack is an explosive attack. To know what things that you have to know in this phase and in the other phases, you can read it in the Old School RunScape wiki.
