-
- Catacombs of Kourend (north): This one is the location of the normal variant.

- Slayer Tower (basement): This one is the location of the normal variant.
- Abyssal Nexus (D-I-P fairing ring): This one is the location of the boss variant.
Task Methods
There are several methods that you can follow if you want to complete the Abyssal Demons task and everything is different. You can choose which one depending on your purpose.
Method 1: Fastest XP method
The style that is used for this method is barrage or bursting. The task takes place in Catacombs of Kourend. There are some required items, including magic gear, magic staff or magic wand, magic runes, prayer potions, and darts for aggression.
If you want to earn the fastest slayer XP per hour on an Abyssal Demons task, as a player, you will have to burst or barrage them in the Catacombs of Kourend. Either Smoke or Shadow ancient spells are recommended to be used as the are known to be the most cost effective. If you are thinking of using the Ice spells, you can bury your thought now if you do not want to freeze the demons when they teleport around you.
Method 2: Most AFK method
The style that is used for this method is multicombat AFKing. The task takes place in Catacombs of Kourend. There are some required items, including prayer armor (proselyte), arclight or melee weapon, prayer potions, and combat potions.
If you want to train the slayer AFK with an Abyssal Demons task, it will be needed for you to attack each of them in one room that is located in the Catacombs of Kourend. Remember to use an Arclight if there is one since it is the best provider of the high attack and strength bonuses on demons. Aside from that, you are also able to use either a whip or rapier. If you want to save money, then it is better for you to use high defensive armor instead of using prayer. However, it is a bit risky as there is a possibility of you to die if you AFK for too long. In addition, you are also able to use Guthan’s if you wish to stay there forever.
Method 3: Bossing method
The style that is used for this method is Abyssal Sire. Abyssal Sire is known as the slayer boss that is able to be only killed while you are on a slayer task assigned from one of the slayer masters that are scattered throughout runescape.
There are a total of two ways to reach the Abyssal Sire. The first one is north of the Edgeville through the same rock mage who teleports you to the abyss. The only issue with it is it will put a skull on you and no one wants you to be fighting the Abyssal Sire while scold. The thing that you should do is to use a fairy ring and the fairy ring code D-I-P is going to be used to teleport you to the other realm of the Abyssal Nexus. Once you arrive at the Abyssal Nexus, there are four possible ways that you go but since they all lead to an Abyssal Sire, it does not really matter which one you choose.
The Abyssal Sire is not actually that hard boss to fight but some general skill requirements are needed. When it comes to melee, you are recommended to have at least a level 80 in your attack, strength, and defense skills. As for ranged, you will also have to get level 80. When it comes to the prayer, you should have a minimum of level 70 with the piety prayer unlocked. Besides, you will also have to use magic during the fight and an ancient spell book. At the bare minimum, you should have to at least have level 766 of magic for the shadow blitz spell. For the best result, it is better for you to have level 92 magic for the blood barrage spell and level 88 magic for the shadow barrage spell.
When it comes to the gear setup, since it is a beginner’s guide, using some lower tier gear is fine. These gears are usually able to be afford with ease, maybe with the exception for one item. The item that you can use is a slayer helmet that has to be imbued so that you can get the bonus from the imbued, which is 15% to range accuracy. The next item to use are a fire cape and an amulet of fury. For those who have an amulet of torture, you can change the amulet of fury to amulet of torture.
