How to Get Shadowbringer Relic Weapon in FFXIV

There are several relic weapons in the game called Final Fantasy XIV or FFXIV. For those who are not familiar with the relic weapons, they are the kinds of special glowing weapons for each job. Apparently, each Shadowbringers expansion relic weapon is related to Bozja and the Blades of Funnhildr.

If you are interested in the Shadowbringers relic weapons and want to get them, this post features a guide to do so.

How to Get Shadowbringer Relic Weapon in FFXIV

Step 1: Making Resistance weapons

Resistance weapons are the kinds of weapons that have 485 item level. All of them were released in patch 5.25. In order to get your first weapon, you can follow every step below:

    1. Firstly, you have to complete the Shadowbringers main scenario quest.
    2. The second quest that should be completed is the side quest called The City of Los Angels.
    3. Aside from these two, it will also be needed for you to complete a few other quests, including Hail to the Queen, Path to the Past, The Bozja Incident, and Fire in the Forge.

Remember that you need to complete the quest Resistance is (Not) Futile) for every other weapon after this as the job you want the weapon for. Besides, you also need to turn in four Thavnairian Scalepowders to Zlatan. All of them are able to be purchased from the Tomestone NPC vendors such as Aurina in Revenant’s Toll and Hismena in Idyllshire. Each costs 250 Allagan Tomestones of Poetics.

Step 2: Augment your Resistance weapons

This step is all about upgrading your Resistance weapon, boosting its stats and item level to a maximum of 500. Apparently, this step was added in patch 5.35. If you want to get the Augmented version of any of your weapons, here is the guide to follow:

    1. The first thing that you have to do is to complete the Vows of Virtue, Deeds or Cruelty main scenario quest.
    2. After completing this quest, it is time for you to complete a couple of side quests, which are A Sober Proposal and Where Eagles Nest.
    3. Once you are done completing everything, prepare your Resistance weapon from step one.
    4. When it is ready, it is time for you to go to Zlatan in Gangos and accept the repeatable quest called For want of a Memory.
    5. Lastly, get and turn in 20 Tortured Memories of the Dying, 20 Sorrowful Memories of the Dying, and 20 Harrowing Memories of the Dying.

Feel free to get a total of 60 memories as random drops from Skirmishes and Critical Engagements in The Bozjan Southern Front.

Step 3: Making recollection weapons

The icon glow will be given to your relic weapon by this third one, though the item level remains at 500. It was added in patch 5.35. Follow these following instructions to get your Recollection weapon:

    1. First of all, complete the previous steps included above.
    2. Next, start the repeatable quest known as The Will to Resist from Zlatan in Gangos.
    3. Afterward, turn in six Bitter Memories of the Dying.

The rewards from completing level 60 dungeons include the green Bitter Memories of the Dying. You can get one from completing Leveling Roulette in the Duty Finder. There is no way for you to get the memories by completing level 60 dungeons with your level unsynced.

Step 4: Getting Law’s Order weapons

By upgrading your weapon to a Law’s Order one, you will be able to boost its item level to 510. This one was added in patch 5.45. To be able to get your next relic, follow all the things below:

    1. First and foremost, complete every step above.
    2. Then, hit Resistance Rank 10 in Bozja.
    3. After hitting it, it is time for you to complete the Bozja dungeon, Castrum Lacus Litore.
    4. The fourth step is to complete a few side quests, including A Sign of What’s to Come, Fit for a Queen, and In the Queen’s Image.
    5. Do not forget to accept the repeatable quest called Change of Arms from Zlatan in Gangos.
    6. When everything is done, get and turn in 15 Loathsome Memories of the Dying to Zlatan.

Step 5: Augmenting your Law’s Order weapons

This step will boost the item level of the weapon to 515. Besides, it will also give a special glowing effect. It was added in patch 5.45. Every single step to augment it can be found below:

    1. After completing everything above, the next thing to do is to accept The Resistance Remembers side quest.
    2. In the next step, turn in the 18 Haunting Memories of the Dying and 18 Vexatious Memories of the Dying.
    3. The third step is to accept the repeatable quest named A New Path of Resistance.
    4. Finally, collect and turn in the 15 Timeworn Artifacts.

Step 6: Getting your blade’s weapon

You will be given a 535 item level weapon by this step and it was added in patch 5.55. To get this weapon, below is the guide:

    1. You will need to complete the Futures Rewritten main scenario quest after you are done with everything above.
    2. The second one to complete is A New Playing Field side quest.
    3. Thirdly, start the What Dreams are Made of side quest from Gerolt in Gangos.
    4. Please also accept Spare Parts, Tell Me a Story, and A Fond Memory quests.
    5. After that, gather the 30 Compact Axles, Compact Springs, A Day in the Life: Battles for the Realm, A Day in the Life: Beyond the Rift, Bleak Memories of Dying, and Lurid Memories of the Dying,and turn them in.
    6. Then, complete A Done Deal quest.
    7. Next, start the Irresistible quest.
    8. The last one is collecting and turning in 15 Raw Emotion.

Feel free to get the 180 items from Zadnor that can be unlocked after completing the above steps. There is also a chance for you to farm these from completing certain raids. The difference is that you will not get anything.
