Recently, Epic Games announced the Fortnite J Balvin Cup where the players of Fortnite are going to have an opportunity to get the J Balvin Skin and Back Bling freely.
Fortnite J Balvin Cup: Time & Date
Recently, the official Fortnite Twitter account announced the advent of the J Balvin skin in Fortnite. For your information, previously J Balvin worked with Fortnite during the Fortnight Mars 2020 event where he had a concert in Party Royale. Today, J Balvin is also obtaining a skin. The official Fortnite Twitter account announced the release of the J Balvin Skin and Cup. Also, they released a blog post to go along with it.
The Fortnite J Balvin Cup was held on August 24th in all regions. The actual time of the tournament would be announced under the in-game compete tab before the tournament.
Fortnite J Balvin Cup: Format
The J Balvin Cup would be played in a Duos format. Each member of the Duos team has to rank in the Open League (Division I, II, or III) or higher within Arena in their respective server region by the start of the match to be eligible to queue up and compete during the Event as listed in-game.
The event would last for around 3 hours. The teams are able to play up to 10 matches during this timeframe. At the end of the 3 hour period, the top-scoring teams are going to be eligible for the J Balvin Outfit and Back Bling.
Fortnite J Balvin Cup: Scoring System
You are going to get one point for each elimination in the J Balvin Cup.

Tiebreakers are going to be determined in the order presented here:

- Total Victory Royales in the session.
- Average eliminations in the session.
- Average placement per match in that session.
- Total seconds survived across all the matches.
Fortnite J Balvin Cup: Arena
The competitive mode is arranged in three leagues: Open League, Contender League, and Champion League.
Open League

- Open League: Division I (0 up to 249 Hype points)
- Open League: Division II (250 up to 499 Hype)
- Open League: Division III (500 up to 999 Hype)
- Open League: Division IV (1,000 up to 1,499 Hype)
Contender League

- Contender League: Division I (1,500 up to 2,499 Hype)
- Contender League: Division II (2,500 up to 3,999 Hype)
- Contender League: Division III (4,000 up to 5,999 Hype)
Champion League

- Champion League: Division I (6,000 up to 11,999 Hype)
- Champion League: Division II (12,000 up to 15,999 Hype)
- Champion League: Division III (16,000+ Hype)
Fortnite J Balvin Cup: Player Eligibility
To participate in any Event match, the players have to be at least 13 years old. If a player is under 18 years of age, such player must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate in the Event. Ineligible players who mislead or try to mislead Event Administrators by giving false eligibility information are going to be subject to disciplinary actions.
If Epic Games decides that a player has violated the Code, then Epic may take the disciplinary actions such as below:

- Epic will issue a private or public warning to the player.
- Epic will lose session points for the current or future match.
- Epic will lose all or any part of the prizes previously given to the player.
- Epic will disqualify the players from participating in one or more matches at the Event.
- Epic will prevent the players from participating in one or more future competitions hosted by Epic Games.

For note: Approximate retail value of J Balvin Cosmetic Outfit and Back Bling/Pickaxe is $20 USD.
Prizing Information: Only the highest scoring players who will be eligible to receive the applicable prizes. No other player with a score lower than the Winning Players shall be, at any time or under any circumstances, entitled to win any prizes in connection with the Event. The prizes are awarded with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. The prizes are not transferable or assignable and cannot be transferred by Winning Players. Non-cash prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
The J Balvin Cosmetic Outfit and Back Bling/Pickaxe have no value outside of an Epic account. They are going to be given directly to the winning Player’s Epic account within 3 weeks after the event finishes. If a player has already got the J Balvin Cosmetic Outfit and Back Bling/Pickaxe as part of a previous Fortnite event, then he or she will not be eligible to get the prizes for this Event.
