With the release of ACNH (Animal Crossing: New Horizons), the various fruits that the players can gather now can be used for a cool new feature. In the previous Animal Crossing titles, fruit was particularly used as a quick method to earn bells in the beginning because the players would run around shaking trees to collect fruit and sell it to Tom Nook. Also, fruit could be used as a gift. Sometimes, the villagers ask the players if they could fetch a certain fruit for them. Aside from that, there are five kinds of fruit. Selling non-native fruit obtains more Bells. This gives a push to visit and trade with your friends.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, now eating fruit has a powerful new effect. Eating a piece of fruit will give you a temporary boost in strength. You are able to store up to ten power strikes at one time by eating 10 pieces of fruit. After that, you are able to use the power strikes to cut the trees in one swing or destroy a boulder with one hit of the shovel. However, you have to be careful, as destroying the trees or rocks or trees will not drop any materials. So, we are able to say that when you eat 10 fruits in Animal Crossing, you are able to store up to ten power strikes at one time.
When starting out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the players are limited enough in terms of what they are able to do on Day One. The players are able to pick fruit from the trees, or collect the shells and sticks to start paying off the amount of Bells that Tom Nook charges the players for moving in. After eating fruit in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a small counter is going to display, informing how many power strikes a player has stored up. Probably, this will be surprising to several players because fruit traditionally did nothing when eaten. The players are able to use power strikes to chop down or uproot trees in one swing, or to break the rocks with one shovel strike
When a tree or rock is destroyed with a power strike, no materials will drop. The only exception for this is if a Bell-generating boulder is destroyed. In this case, all of the Bells are going to drop for the player to pick up. Early on, the players have to try to avoid using power strikes because the materials which drop from the trees and boulders are very important when making your first set of tools.
The Worst Time to Eat Fruit in Animal Crossing

Missing out on this extra change to collect materials will be able to slow down the player’s progress. The best time to use these boosts is when cleaning the island, and particularly for clearing out space for new arrivals. Another great use for power strikes is to assist save a tool’s durability if you plan on changing the island’s layout to fit your personal tastes.
Probably, this new feature will not be useful in every condition, but it is a good way to add another purpose to the fruits which have been part of the series since the beginning. You are able to keep selling fruit Tom Nook and making sure your neighbours are getting their daily dose of fruit. But, ensure to keep some for yourself. Tidying up an island is hard work, and nothing assists keep you going like some fresh fruit.
