COD Server Downtime Preparing For Warzone Pacific
The new map of Call of Duty Warzone released on December 8, 2021 when the all new Season of Vanguard x Warzone Pacific gets off to a thrilling start. With servers down ahead of the launch, when can we play Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific?
As we know from the Call of Duty blog that the initial launch of Vanguard x Warzone Pacific: Season One would take place on December 8th, 2021. It means that servers would be down as Activision prepares for the launch, and also there may be other teething problems once the Season starts.
Last Hours of Verdansk
A ceremonious goodbye to Verdansk would be held in the form of the Last Hours of Verdansk limited-time event. Throughout this event, the players of COD would drop into a separate playlist to complete nice contracts and obtain cosmetic loot. For your information, the event began on December 6th at 10AM PT. You would be able to search for Crashed Planes and obtain your loadout by completing their Special Intel contracts. Just survive during the countdown to redeploy your allies to the Warzone. Got a score to shorten the countdown. Also, reach safety, or you would be able to be the last team alive to win and collect an exclusive reward. Eliminate enemies and escape the gas.
Shutdown
When Raven Software prepared for that biggest update, Warzone Pacific servers across all platforms would be taken offline temporarily. This downtime was expected to last a total of 12 hours, although this could vary greatly. An update was expected to be issued to all platforms at the start of downtime, however the game would not be playable until downtime has concluded. For your information, downtime began on December 7th at 9PM PT, and downtime ended on December 8th at 9AM PT. Those times were subject to change with no warning as the situation developed. Lots of COD players would simultaneously begin connecting to the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific servers at the end of downtime. Thus, you need to expect the server queues and possibly an extended downtime. After downtime has concluded, Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season One and the Caldera early access period starts.
Why are Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Servers down?
You have to know that the new Season of Call of Duty: Warzone takes a complete change to Warzone. Verdansk is gone, and Caldera will take over as the new main Warzone map. Besides a new map, it is a new Season, so of course there is also a new Battle Pass featuring the new Weapon Blueprints, Skins, Operatives and more. Therefore, it is a big update that Activision needs to roll out across the system, hence the planned downtime of 12 hours before its launch on December 8th.
What is Call of Duty: Vanguard x Warzone Pacific?
Caldera features a new tropical surrounding to the Warzone experience you love. Aside from several new Operators to get used to, the gameplay of Warzone is going to feel very similar to start with, so it is still the game you know. But, you have to adapt for a new environment when you compete with the fragile beach huts, sandy beaches, and exotic flora. When Can I Play Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific?
Now, you will be able to play Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific. As soon as the downtime ends on December 8th, 2021 at 9am PST, you are able to drop into Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific. However, whether you have Vanguard or not is going to determine what map you are able to play on to start with, whether you are able to straight into Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific.
For your information, Rebirth Island would be available for everyone to play as soon as servers are back online on 9am PST/12pm EST/5pm GMT. But, Caldera will only be available to Vanguard owners for an early-access event for the first 24 hours.
