Why Can’t I Play Halo Infinite Campaign?

After a long wait, the campaign of the game called Halo Infinite has finally been launched to the public. Due to a huge amount of people who are eager to play the game, some of them are facing issues when making an attempt to do just that. For anyone who is wondering why such issues can happen and why the Halo Infinite campaign cannot be played at the moment, there are a few reasons that make it happen. What are they?

The first reason is that the preload was not really a preload. While it is true that you downloaded some of the game, there are still parts that you have to download now when the game has now gone live. The same thing applies to those who purchased the game on the disk. In fact, there was no complete game on that disk and it is still needed for you to download some information.

Why Can't I Play Halo Infinite

The second reason is the excitement. Just like you, a lot of people are also excited about the Halo Infinite campaign and have been waiting for it to be released for so long. The fact that it is also free on Game Pass makes the amount of people who try to download it double. Basically, the statement means that the servers are crashed due to a massive amount of people who are attempting to download the same information from the same.

What should you do to fix the issue? The sad news is that there is nothing that can be done by the players except to be patient and wait for it to be solved. Apparently, it is a part of the modern gaming that even single player experiences will always seem to get several forms of online requirement to be able to be played, which is sad.

Talking about the inability to play the Halo Infinite’s campaign, the developers of this game called 343 Industries have informed the fans that they will not be able to preload this campaign. While the news might break the heart of everyone who wants to get into the campaign as soon as possible, the developer said that those who have already downloaded the multiplayer beta version of the game will be able to find that their overall download time for the game has significantly decreased.

The developer announced the news on Twitter through @HaloSupport account. According to the post, it is confirmed that those who have installed the beta version will need to wait a bit shorter to be able to folly install the game compared to those who have not done it. In the announcement, the information about the download size is also explained well. Below is the full tweet posted by the account on Twitter:

When the Halo Infinite Campaign launches tomorrow at 10am PT, players who have downloaded the Multiplayer Beta will have a smaller download size. While download sizes may vary by platform, this guide will give you an idea of what to expect tomorrow.

Hallo Infinite Campaign Install Size

Starting with no existing Halo Infinite installation:

    • Installing Multiplayer only: approximately 26.53 GB
    • Installing both Multiplayer and Campaign: approximately 48.42 GB

If Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer Beta is already installed:

    • Multiplayer update only: approximately 3.97 GB
    • Campaign installation: additional download or approximately 25.86 GB
    • Total of both downloads: approximately 29.83 GB total

As informed on the tweet, only 50 GB is needed to download the game for the first time. As for those who have downloaded the multiplayer beta version before, the download size will be only 30 GB. What makes it different is the multiplayer of the game. It has the size of 26.53 GB for those without beta and downloading from scratch and only 3,97 GB for those with the multiplayer beta installed on their device.

Even though there is a file size difference that is due to the multiplayer beta of the game, everyone who wants to play the game should wait a bit longer until they have fully downloaded the game. In case you have not already downloaded the multiplayer beta version, you are suggested to do it earlier today so that you are able to save the time when the installation goes live.

For your information, the Halo Infinite’s campaign will be available soon. According to a lot of sources, the download will be unlocked globally at 10 AM Pacific or 1 PM Eastern or 6 PM UK, which is tomorrow at 5 PM AEDT.

The campaign has gotten so much attention from many and many people have applauded it. Is the game really good and worth playing? IGN gives the single player mode of the game 9/10, stating that the game features the best implementation of the boss fights yet and it has brought the single player campaign of Halo back into the surface as one of the best out there. 9 points out of 10 is such a great rating, it is nearly perfect and it is a good sign for this game.

Talking about the Halo Infinite’s campaign, it is rumored that the game was set to break years of tradition by not allowing the players to replay the story missions of the game in the campaign without jumping into a new save file.
