Halo is a military video game franchise which is science fiction and it is created by Bungie which is now managed by Microsoft Studios subsidiary 343 Industries. The latest game of Halo is Halo Infinite. If you are a player of this game, you may be curious whether there will be another Halo after Halo Infinite. So, let’s find out what I found about it.
Whether There Will be Another Halo After Infinite or Not
According to the GamesRadar website, here is the information about whether there will be another Halo after Infinite or not. On that site, it is explained that Halo Infinite will be the last standalone Halo game for the future. However, there is much more Halo which is still coming. After the developer 343 Industries declared Halo Infinite’s new open world inspired gameplay at the Xbox Games Showcase event, the developer made a confirmation that you do not need to hope for Halo 7 or Halo Infinite 2. Studio head Chris Lee gave an explanation in an interview with IGN that it does not mean Halo Infinite is a Destiny-style live service game. However, it is rather a platform for further full-fledged Halo experiences of their own.
He said that Halo Infinite is the beginning of their platform for the future. Furthermore, he added that they want Infinite to grow over time, versus going to those numbered titles and having all that segmentation that they had before. It is about making Halo Infinite as the beginning of the next ten years for Halo and after that establish it.
343 Industries has a purpose to keep enhancing new pieces of Master Chief’s story to Halo Infinite. Also, they plan to keep updating the game or platform as technology advances where a free update to enable ray tracing has been planned for sometime after launch.
The Next Story of Halo Infinite
Meanwhile, according to the Den of Geek site, here is the explanation that I found about what the next for the story of the game is. It is explained that the story of Halo Infinite may rely on nostalgia sometimes. However, the mysterious ending of this game will make you curious what is next for this franchise.
Recent rumors suggest that Halo Infinite will use a live service model which means that future Halo Infinite chapters will come in the form of DLC updates rather than entirely new games. There are a lot of people who accept that Microsoft and developer 343 Industries want to continue the story of Halo Infinite in one way or another.
So, for now, I do not know what form the next chapter of the story of Halo will take whether DLC, sequel or something else. Nevertheless, according to the Den of Geek site, there are few theories about where the story of Infinite will go next.
On the Den of Geek website, it is explained that there is a little doubt that The Endless will play a main role in future Halo Infinite chapters. Early rumors recommend that the next installment of the Halo Infinite will be called The Endless.
Now, the question is how, will The Endless be used? Even though there is an argument which is made that The Endless was able to be treated as the enemy of Master Chief’s enemies, the smarter money is on The Endless which joins the ever-growing roster of things that are attempting to murder Master Chief.
It seems that they have made an early alliance with The Banished. And, the ending of Halo Infinite reminds us that The Banished are still very angry about Cortana, who destroyed their homeworld thing.
The Explanation About Halo Infinite Season 2
According to Dexerto, here is the explanation about Halo Infinite Season 2. According to that site, it is explained that the schedule for the second season of Halo Infinite has already been shifted back off of its initial starting date.
Joseph Staten from 343 stated that players need to wait for a longer time for the cooperative campaign and Forge modes of the game. Previously, it was expected that these features would arrive at the end of Season 2 and Season 3 respectively.
There is a statement which was released through Halo Waypoint that the Chief of Creative suggested that players do not have to expect Season 2 to start until May 2022. Furthermore, he said that they made the decision to be able to extend Season 1 to give themselves more time to ensure Season 2 meets their high quality bar and so they are able to finish development for Season 2 in a healthy and sustainable way for their team.
The extension of Season 1 is aimed to make for a better gameplay experience. Nevertheless, it does not mean that co-op and Forge will be delayed together with the arrival of each new season.
Staten made a confirmation of the new plan in an interview with EuroGamer where he emphasized that plans could change as the dev team looks to solve any issues that players find along the way. He said that their goal still remains what he said before which is to ship campaign co-op with Season 2 and Forge with Season 3, however, those remain goals.
Furthermore, he said that those are still targets and they are not able to commit to any hard dates for now since they are seeing with this multiplayer beta, other things might move up in the priority stack for them.
