Through Island Evaluation in ACNH, you are allowed to increase your island’s star rating. The rating here ranges on a scale of 1 to 5 stars that will be evaluated by Isabelle. In fact, every player may make a serious effort to achieve their island’s rating up to 5-star.
So, what will happen after you achieve the highest rating in Island evaluation? Are there any surprises you will get? If you’re also curious what will happen or what you will get after achieving a 5-star rating, you can look for more information about it below!
What Will Happen After You Gain a 5-Star Rating?
After you achieve the highest rating in ACNH’s Island Evaluation, you definitely will unlock new milestones and a few certain rewards. If you successfully gain a 5-star for the first time, you will gain the DIY recipe for the golden watering can and also one lili-of-the-valley spawns on your island every week, as long as your island holds a 5-star rating.

- Gaining golden watering can
Golden watering can is the only one item that will give you access to golden roses. It actually lets you water up to 200 times before breaking, which makes it the best of its kind. However, you should continue to make it as needed, because it still breaks. - Gaining lily of the valley flowers
The other item you will get is that you actually get access to the lily of the valley flowers that will start to grow around your island’s cliff as early as the next day once you achieve the 5-star rating.
- Gaining golden watering can
However, achieving a 5-star rating is the only one way to get the lily of the valley flowers. Those flowers work a bit differently than the rest of the flowers in ACNH. Furthermore, those flowers do not reproduce like you may expect. Instead, you have to wait for them to bloom randomly while maintaining your 5-star rating. Sure, you must be patient, as each flower will take up to a week to bloom.
In the previous ranking, namely 3-star rating, Tom Nook actually ends Project K by asking K.K. Slider to hold a concert on your island. This concert will occur the following day or on the day after any-pre scheduled event. Moreover, this event will be held after Tom Nook gives you the Island Designer app. Then, K.K. will visit your island every Saturday or Sunday.
ACNH’s Island Evaluation is offered by Isabelle at Resident Services once you complete your campsite on the deserted island and the first campsite visitor completes moving in as a resident.
For more information, the Island Evaluations in New Horizons are not given during New Year’s Eve when Resident Services are closed and on Sundays in August, since Isabelle takes the day off during the fireworks festival.
