How to Get Bushes?

How to Get Bushes

By the way, how to get bushes? If you want to get bushes, simply you are able to buy it from Leif’s Flower Shop in Animal Crossing: New Horizons while he is visiting your island or at his shop within Harvey’s Shopping Plaza. His appearances on the island are quite random and you will not be able to control anything about Leif’s frequency or when he will appear.

When you discover Leif on your home island or at Harvey’s Island, he will always be selling two different kinds of bushes at a time, and both available colors for those bush kinds. According to research, one of the bush kinds Leif sells will always be the current ‘in season’ blooming bush. The other bush kind he carries seems to be randomly selected.

As we know, a bush costs 280 Bells to buy a ‘start’ from Leif, or 1400 Bells to purchase a bulk pack of 5 bushes. You will be able to buy bushes from Leif when visiting other islands too for a potentially different selection.

Planting Bushes on Your Island

Planting bushes on your island could not be any easier. To plant a bush, you have to open your inventory. Then, select the Plant option when pressing on a bush that you have bought from Leif. It works exactly the same as planting the seeds of a flower.

Planting Bushes on Your Island

For those who want more control over your bush planting to obtain precise placements and eliminate the possibility for mistakes, you have to use a shovel to dig a hole and directly bury the bush into the hole. Easily, you are able to move bushes by digging them up and replanting. Even, this applies when the bush is in its smallest and least grown size.

In addition, if you are not sure where you have to plant your bushes, then you are able to plant them in an unused corner somewhere on your island as a holding place. Afterwards, you are able to move them into the ideal locations after they are fully grown.

Where Can Bushes (Shrubs) Grow?

If you played Animal Crossing: New Leaf on Nintendo 3DS, you will be familiar with the many restrictions bushes had in regard to the places they could grow without dying. The good news, the restrictions for bush planting seem to have been heavily relaxed.

It is still early days for bushes in ACNH. Thus, we do not have a complete picture of every possible bush planting rule. However, there are some examples of situations where you are able to plant the bushes.

    • Bushes are able to be planted next to rivers and cliff edges.
    • Bushes are able to be planted between houses and trees.
    • Bushes are able to be planted next to inclines and ramps.
    • Bushes are able to be planted next to beach edges.
    • Bushes are able to be planted next to cliff walls.
