In order to get the Kraken tasks, you should reach Duradel, the highest level Slayer master. To get Kraken tasks from Duradel, you should reach either any combat level if you have reached 99 Slayer and show him the Slayer cape or a combat level of 100 and a Slayer level of 50.

After fulfilling the requirements, you should find Duradel that can be found in Shilo Village. It also needs the completion of the Shillo quest to be accessed. You can reach him by climbing the ladder in the fishing shop which is located just south of the river. He then will give you the Kraken task.

To determine the slayer assignment, Duradel will use the Task weighing system. If you wonder about the Kraken Task Weight using the system, let’s see it below!

How about Kraken Task Weight?

The Task Weighing system is meant for getting the percentage chance of getting a specific slayer task which can be calculated using a specific formula as follow:

{ (w/s x 100)% }

    • W: the task’s weight
    • S: Sum of all weights for the particular slayer master where the player has the requirements to be assigned.

From the clue above, the weights of blocked tasks, tasks that the players don’t have the Slayer level or quest requirements for and tasks which are toggled off are not added to the sum. Here’s a hypothetical list of monsters which a slayer master may assign:

Steel dragon 8

If the player has level 85 Slayer which has not unlocked TxHarr and Aviansie tasks through Slayer reward poin, so the list will be filtered so that the player can only be given abyssal demons, iron dragons, steel dragons and spiritual mages.

Well, the task weight for those four are 10, 7, 8 and 8 respectively. Therefore, the list has a total weight of 33 which gives the players a 30.3% chance of being assigned abyssal demons, 21.2% chance of being assigned iron dragons, 24.2% chance of being assigned steel dragons and 24.2% chance of being assigned spiritual mages.

If we assume that all tasks are available and it’s not outdated/incorrect,  the total sum of weights will be:

    • Krystilia: 204
    • Turael: 172
    • Mazchna: 216
    • Vannaka: 389
    • Chaeldar: 407
    • Nieve/Steve: 236
    • Duradel: 271

The point is, the Kraken’s task weight will be 9 when using this task weighing system.
