There was an announcement alongside the January update reveal trailer with Festivale that the Sanrio amiibo cards have made an official comeback for the first time since their initial release in November 2016 and in North America for the very first time.

Those cards are inspired by Sanrio properties such as Little Twin Stars, Hello Kitty, My Melody and more. Animal Crossing Sanrio Amiibo Cards Orders & Release Date

According to the Animal Crossing World website, these cards were released exclusively at Target in the United States on March 26th beginning at 8 am Central Time. At that time, there was an order limit of 2 and intended for Order Pickup only. The price was $5.99. On April 15th, The Sanrio Amiibo cards were sold out and now it is not available for order on the website of Target.

There were some reports that some Target stores sold a few cards in-store on the shelf.
