How to Use Animal Crossing Design Codes

The game called Animal Crossing New Horizons or ACNH is all about imagination and creativity. To support the players improving their skills, it gives the players a chance to create their own designs and patterns that can be used for the likes of clothing, artwork, and many more. Not only that, they are also able to share these creations with the others through the special Design Codes that they can enter in the Custom Designs Portal found in the Able Sisters shop.

Please do not be mistaken the design codes with the QR codes that were generated in the past Animal Crossing titles, such as Animal Crossing: New Leaf, as these two are two different things.

For those who are interested in trying out the designs codes but you have no idea how to do that, you come to the right page as you will be informed to do that.

In order to use the design codes in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you will have to go to find the portal that is found in the Able Sisters shop. Unlike through Nintendo Switch Online app to use another custom code called QR code, this method is not available in the beginning of the game as it takes a bit of time to open the shop. However, it is known as the only one that can import the alphanumeric codes into the game. To be able to use this kind of code, here is everything that you need to follow:

    1. The first thing that you need to do is to go to The Able Sisters shop. go to The Able Sisters shop
    2. When you arrive there, you will have to interact with the pink terminal called Custom Designs Portal. If you have no idea where it is located, it is in the back right corner of the shop. interact with the pink terminal called Custom Designs Portal
    3. Next, choose Access the kiosk. Select “Access the kiosk
    4. Feel free to choose by Design ID or Creator ID. If the Design ID is the one that you enter, you will be able to see a specific custom design. If you enter the Creator ID instead of the Design ID, you will also be able to see the other custom designs that have been uploaded by the same creator. For those who are looking for a set of a custom design, it is better for you to use the Creator ID. search for an individual design, select “Search by Design ID
    5. Enter the code for the design or creator that you want to find.
    6. After that, choose Confirm or press the “+” button in order to enter it.
    7. In the end, you will be shown with the pattern if you entered the code without any mistakes.
    8. Once you have found the design, you can save it to use in the game by choosing the Save button. You will be able to see the app called the Custom Designs on your Nook Phone open, making it possible for you to save the design to one of your design slots. In this case, please move your cursor to any slot that you want to use and then press A to choose it.
    9. Then, choose Overwrite it to be able to save the design to that specific slot. Select “Overwrite it.”
    10. Just like that the design will be saved to your Custom Designs app on your Nook Phone and you can use it just like you use any other custom designs in the game.

    1. Firstly, you should open up the NookPhone in Animal Crossing New Horizons or ACNH.
    2. When it opens, choose Custom Designs.
    3. Another thing to be chosen is a blank square.
    4. From this step, feel free to let your imagination run wild by using several different tools and colors.
    5. When you are done creating a design, the last thing that you have to do is to save and name your design.

After creating the design, make sure to share it to allow the others to use it. Please follow these following instructions to be able to share the design code:

    2. When you are at the shop, the next thing that you need to do is to interact with the pink terminal, which is also known as the Custom Designs Portal. As stated before, it is located in the back right corner of the shop.
    3. After that, choose Access the kiosk. By doing so, your Nintendo Switch will connect to the internet.
    4. Then, choose Post.
    5. In the next step, feel free to choose the design that you want to share.
    6. In the end, an alphabetic code will be generated and you will be able to share it with the other players.
