You and the birthday villager will have a birthday. Actually, we do not know what exactly happens in this game on your birthday. But, on the birthday villagers, they have a party in their house with one other animal. You have to bring them a present and celebrate with them.
On your birthday, when you log into the game, automatically you are going to be taken to your party. And when you leave you are going to be placed outside your house to start your day. With a villager we believe you only wander to their home or the home of where the party is and it is time to party.
So, when you share a Birthday with a villager in ACNH, there are two birthday parties. Just remember to pack a gift for the other special individual.

The first step to give the best possible gifts is almost identical to real life: know what the recipient likes. You have to know that each villager in Animal Crossing has a favorite color that will influence the number of friendship points a gift adds. For example, the favorite colors of Marina are Pink and Red. It means that the items which are designated as pink or red will give more friendship points than other items. - Know Their Style
The villagers not only have favorite colors, but also they have a preferred style which can frequently be deduced from their clothing or home decor. The styles include simple, elegant, active, cute, gorgeous, and cool. An example of a clothing item that Rosie will love is the Flower Sweater. All gifts are going to have a set amount of friendship points rewarded. Non-preferred clothing items will add 1 friendship point, while preferred clothing will add 2 friendship points. The items such as tools; fishing rod, watering can, etc will add 2 friendship points. While garbage items such as the empty can, boot, and tire will subtract 2 friendship points. Also, spoiled turnips will subtract 2 friendship points, so do not pawn any garbage off on the villagers. - Destroy the Big Bells
There are lots of expensive items in Animal Crossing. It means that the players are able to lavish their villagers with the most valuable items. The more expensive an item of furniture is, the more friendship points will be given. Also, the value of the gift given will push a villager to give an item in return, depending on that item’s resell value. Giving a gift item that would get 2500+ bells at Nook’s Cranny will be able to make the villager give an item of furniture in return. Furthermore, receiving a gift item will reward bonus friendship points, the amount depending on the current level of friendship. - Give Their Favorite Song
