During the Magic Showcase 2021 digital event, it has announced that the crossover set is going to feature a variety of recognizable imagery pulled from Epic Game’s Fortnite. The collaboration is going to receive two Secret Lair drops which aim to capture the locations of the Island in the game as well as the iconic cast of the characters that do battle upon it. This official announcement stated that the Secret Lair is going to feature reprints like you have never seen them before.

Apparently, the announcement of the Fortnite Secret Lair will prove a promise from  Wizards of the Coast said that MGT will be explore the world. Those different aspects of the multiverse are going to be expanded on through sets of limited-edition cards which will only be sold for a short period of time. Need to know that most of those sets including reimaginings of the game’s most iconic cards redesigned in the style of another franchise. After the purchase period of the Secret Lair closes, they will not be sold again, making them very popular for the collectors.

Magic: The Gathering confirmed that other sets in the Secret Lair collection would be inspired by Stranger Things, Lord of the Rings and Warhammer 40K. Chris Cocks, President of Wizards of the Coast said that Magic is the core of their business and the brand has never been bigger. From partnerships with Fortnite, Street Fighter, and The Lord of the Rings to a Netflix animated series launching next year, there has never been a good time to be a fan of Magic.

Beyond the reveal of the Secret Lair drops, the fans of the collectible card game still have a good deal to look forward to. An animated series based on the lore of MGT (Magic: The Gathering) is currently in development. It is going to star Brandon Routh. Also, there is a novel set within the expanding MGT universe was announced. It written by Django Wexler. He is fantasy author. It will release alongside the Netflix production. While Wizards of the Coast has yet to give any further details on the Fortnite crossover. For this case fans are able to expect to hear more information in the near future.

MTG is Getting Two Fortnite Themed Secret Lair Drops

Epic Games and Wizards of the Coast and are officially working together on a Magic: The Gathering collaboration with Fortnite to make two Fortnite-themed Secret Lairs. For your information, those Secret Lairs for Fortnite is going to be released in 2022. It will feature about 5+ card reprints with Fortnite-themed art. That announcement came as part of the Magic Showcase from Wizards of the Coast, during which other announcements were announced including news of a Street Fighter-themed Secret Lair set to release in the year of 2022 as well featuring the mechanically unique cards. Also, other crossovers that MTG fans will look forward to in the future include collaborations with Lord of the Rings and Warhammer 40K.

You have to know that the collaboration with Lord of the Rings is going to reportedly be pretty high, more than the Fortnite-themed Secret Lairs. The Lord of the Rings set named The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth is going to be released in the year of 2023 (both physically and digitally). Overall, Wizards of the Coast has a big and good plan for MTG collaborations in the year of 2022 and 2023. We are looking forward to check some of these cards out. About Magic: The Gathering

Some of you may not know about Magic: The Gathering. Do not worry, here we are going to explain some information about that. Need to know that Magic: The Gathering or simply called as MTG, is a tabletop and digital collectible card game. It was made by Richard Garfield. Magic: The Gathering was released by Wizards of the Coast in the year of 1993. As of December 2018, it has about thirty-five million players, and over twenty billion Magic cards were produced in the period from 2008 to 2016, during which time it grew in popularity.

A player in Magic takes the role of a Planeswalker, doing battle with other players as Planeswalkers by using artifacts, casting spells, and summoning creatures as described on individual cards drawn from their individual decks. Usually, a player defeats their enemy by casting spells and attacking with the creatures to deal damage to the enemies’ life total, with the object being to reduce it from 20 to 0. Even though the original concept of the game very interesting, from the motifs of traditional fantasy role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons, its gameplay has little similarity to the game of Pencil and paper. While simultaneously, it has more cards and more complex rules than other card games.

The game of Magic: The Gathering will be able to be played by two players or more, with printed cards or on a PC or on Smartphone with virtual cards. It is able to be played in several rule formats that fall into two categories: constructed and limited. For your information, Limited category ask the players to build a deck spontaneously. While Constructed category ask the players to make decks from cards they have, with a minimum of 60 cards per deck.

The new cards are released on a regular basis through the expansion sets. Certain cards are able to be valuable due to their rarity in production and utility in gameplay, with prices ranging from a few cents to tens of thousands of dollars.
