About Magic: The Gathering
Some of you may not know about Magic: The Gathering. Do not worry, here we are going to explain some information about that. Need to know that Magic: The Gathering or simply called as MTG, is a tabletop and digital collectible card game. It was made by Richard Garfield. Magic: The Gathering was released by Wizards of the Coast in the year of 1993. As of December 2018, it has about thirty-five million players, and over twenty billion Magic cards were produced in the period from 2008 to 2016, during which time it grew in popularity.
A player in Magic takes the role of a Planeswalker, doing battle with other players as Planeswalkers by using artifacts, casting spells, and summoning creatures as described on individual cards drawn from their individual decks. Usually, a player defeats their enemy by casting spells and attacking with the creatures to deal damage to the enemies’ life total, with the object being to reduce it from 20 to 0. Even though the original concept of the game very interesting, from the motifs of traditional fantasy role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons, its gameplay has little similarity to the game of Pencil and paper. While simultaneously, it has more cards and more complex rules than other card games.
The game of Magic: The Gathering will be able to be played by two players or more, with printed cards or on a PC or on Smartphone with virtual cards. It is able to be played in several rule formats that fall into two categories: constructed and limited. For your information, Limited category ask the players to build a deck spontaneously. While Constructed category ask the players to make decks from cards they have, with a minimum of 60 cards per deck.
The new cards are released on a regular basis through the expansion sets. Certain cards are able to be valuable due to their rarity in production and utility in gameplay, with prices ranging from a few cents to tens of thousands of dollars.
