First, press the Windows and R keys at the same time to open run command box. Second, type eventvwr.msc in the command box and press Enter. Third, go to Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > WMI Activity > Operational in the Event viewer. Fourth, click at the WMI Activity error and note the Client ProcessId number. Fifth, press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys to open the Task Manager. sixth, look at the Details and the Services tab to find the process or service that has the same PID number as the ClientProcessID number. Seventh, once you have found which application or service that causes the WMI Provider Host High CPU usage issue, please uninstall it or change the priority of the culprit process to Low. Eighth, restart the computer and see if the issue has fixed.
Fix 5: Disable the third party services that depend on the Windows Management Instrumentation service
First of all, press the Windows and R at the same time to open run command box. When you are in the run command box, type in services.msc and press Enter.
