Plumeria Bush
In Animal Crossing New Horizons, Plumeria Bushes are bushes which have pink and white color variants. It costs 280 Bells each and you are able to buy them from Leif’s Flower Shop. Plumeria Bushes are introduced in the version 2.0 update. These bushes can also be found on Kapp’n Mystery Island.
When does Plumeria Bush bloom? On June 1st to September 20th, they bloom in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, they bloom from December 1st to March 20th.
Other Types of Bushes in Animal Crossing New Horizons
In Animal Crossing New Horizons, there are 13 different bushes where it consists of 7 unique types with color variants for most bushes.. You are able to grow them in the game. In addition to Plumeria Bushes pink and white, here are the other types of bushes in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

Azalea Bushes
These bushes have pink and white color variants. The price is 280 Bells each and you are able to buy them from Leif’s Flower Shop. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom on April 11th to May 31st. In the Southern Hemisphere, they bloom from October 11th to November 30th. -
Camellia Bushes
These bushes have pink and red color variants. You are able to buy them for 280 Bells each from Leif’s Flower Shop. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom on January 1st to March 31st and in the Southern Hemisphere, they bloom on June 16th to September 30th. It is important for you to note that there is a short period following the Camellia Bushes where there is a condition where there are no bushes of any type in the blooming season. It happens during the Cherry Blossom season from April 1st to 10th in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, it happens on October 1st to 10th. -
Hibiscus Bushes
These bushes have red and yellow color variants in Animal Crossing New Horizons. You can buy them for 280 Bells each from Leif’s Flower Shop. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from July 21 to September 20th and in the Southern Hemisphere, they bloom on January 21st to March 20th. -
Holly Bush
This bush has one version where you can buy it for 280 Bells from Leif’s Flower Shop. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from November 1st to December 31st and in the Southern Hemisphere, they bloom from May 1st to June 15th. -
Hydrangea Bushes
These bushes have blue and pink color variants where the price is 280 Bells each. You can buy them from Leif’s Flower Shop. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from June 1st to July 20th. Meanwhile, in the Southern Hemisphere, they bloom from December 1st to January 20th. -
Tea Olive Bushes
These bushes have orange and yellow color variants. They cost 280 Bells each and you can buy them from Leif’s Flower Shop. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from September 21st to October 30th. Meanwhile, in the Southern Hemisphere, they bloom from March 21st to April 30th. In Animal Crossing New Leaf, these bushes were known as Sweet Olives.

Getting Bushes in Animal Crossing New Horizons
New bush starts can be bought from Leif’s Flower Shop. You can buy it either when he is visiting your island outside Resident Services or at his shop in Harvey’s Shopping Plaza when it is built. His appearances on the island are random.
If you see Leif on your home island or at Harvey’s Island, you will find that he will sell two different types of bushes at a time. Both types of bushes that he sells are available in all color variants they have. Usually, one of the bush types that he sells will be the current ‘in season’ blooming bush and another bush type is random.
The price of every bush is 280 Bells. If you want to buy a bulk pack of 5 bush starts, the price is 1400 Bells.
Planting Bushes on Your Island
It is easy to plant bushes on your island. The thing that you have to do is to open your inventory and then choose the Plant option when hitting on a bush start that you have bought from Leif.
Do you want to control more of your bush planting? If so, you are able to use a shovel to dig a hole and then you have to bury the bust start into the hole. If you want, you are able to move bushes easily by digging them up and replanting. It can be done even when they are still small.
Sometimes, you may feel that you are not sure where you want to place your new bushes. If you have this kind of feeling, then you are able to plant them in an unused corner somewhere on your island and then you can move them later to the ideal areas if they have grown.
Locations For Growing Bushes
When you have a plan to plant bushes, you may wonder where they can grow in the game. Do we have to grow them in certain places? In the Animal Crossing New Leaf on Nintendo 3DS, there were a lot of restrictions that bushes had about where to place them so that they could grow without dying. However, in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you do not need to be worried about it.
