ACNH Golden Tools Durability & Effects

Golden Tools in New Horizons are the special items that you need to unlock first before using it. In other words, you will get them by meeting certain very challenging requirements first. Certainly, each golden tool will have a different requirement which is quite challenging and time-consuming.

When you have a plan to use the Golden Tools, you may want to know their durability to measure whether they are reliable to use in the game or not. However, the durability of the golden tools is such an important thing that you should know. So, let’s learn about the golden tools’ durability in our post below!

Learn about Durability of the Golden Tools

It’s important to note, the Golden Tools do not have infinite durability. They will eventually break. However, each golden tool has 3x greater durability than the ‘Pretty Good’ tools. If a ‘Pretty Good’ tool has a durability of 30, so a golden tool has a durability of 90.

Here’s a list of all Golden Tools durability:

• • Golden Axe’s Durability
    
    The Golden Axe will have a durability of 200 when used. However, the axe will lose its durability when chopping wood and hitting rocks. Additionally, you may want to lay off that axe, even though swinging an axe in air will not lose its durability.
  • Golden Shovel’s Durability
    
    The Golden Shovel will have a durability of 200 when used. Generally, the shovel  will lose its durability when digging up the buried item and also hitting the rocks. You may want to use a shovel to plant flowers or bury items that will not affect its durability.
  • Golden Fishing Rod’s Durability
    
    The  Golden Fishing Rod will have a durability of 90 when used. Generally, the fishing rod  will only  lose its durability after catching a fish. Need to know, if you reel in your line without a fish, it will not affect its durability.
  • Golden Net Durability
    
    The  Golden Net will have a durability of 90 when used. Generally, the net   will only  lose its durability after catching a bug. If you use your net to hit villagers and objects, it will not affect its durability, but watch where you swing.
  • Golden Watering Can Durability
    
    The  Golden Watering Can will have a durability of 180 when used. Generally, the watering can will only  lose its durability after watering pumpkins and flowers. If you water other objects such as trees, stars and the ground, it will not affect the durability.
  • Golden Slingshot Durability
    
    The  Golden Slingshot will have a durability of 90 when used. Generally, the Golden Slingshot  will only  lose its durability after watering a balloon. If you miss your slingshot at a balloon, it will not affect the durability.

Okay, those are the durability of the golden tools that you should know.

How to Increase the Tool Durability?

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can increase the durability of the tools by doing some things.

First, you may need to upgrade the Flimsy tools, as they are the weakest tools. So, by upgrading this type of tool, you can make them stronger. You can upgrade them at the DIY workbench. After you have created your Flimsy tool, you will have a new tool with better durability.

Second, you may be able to reset the tools durability with customization. To reset its durability, you can customize your tools if you already know that your tools only have a few uses left.

To customize your tools, you need to go to a DIY workbench with some customization kits in hand. Then, you can select the color you desire. After you have customized it, you will obtain the durability of a brand new tool again.

For more information, you cannot customize all tools, as some tools are unbreakable.
