The data-miners leaked the upcoming reboot a friend program. Then, it was rolled out in a test phrase in Brazil and Italy. There was not much information given by Epic during the testing phase, and the players in Brazil and Italy did not seem to post much information about the reboot a friend Fortnite program.
We get information that data-miners leaked the rewards players would get from the reboot a friend Fortnite program. There was not any official announcement from Epic related to the program, however, now they have released a blog post outlining reboot a friend along with an FAQ section.

Reboot a Friend Beta – Free Rewards
There are the free rewards that you will get from the reboot a friend Fortnite program.
- Twin Talons Pickaxe
Twin Talons is a Harvesting Tool which is rare in Fortnite. You are able to unlock it by playing 10 games with a friend who has not been online for at least a month for the Reboot A Friend Program. For your information, it is only available between 12/14/20 – 1/2/21. Actually, it is a remake of the Talons Harvesting Tool. The Brazilian Reboot a Friend site listed the Twin Talons as Legendary, while they are in fact Rare.
- Holofoil Wrap
This Holofoil is a Rare Wrap in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It can be unlocked by playing 20 matches for the Reboot A Friend Program. For your information, the Brazilian Reboot a Friend site listed the Holofoil Wrap as Mythic, while it is in fact actually Rare.
- Reboot Van Emoticon
This Reboot Van is a feature in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was first implemented in Fortnite: Season 8. They are placed at nearly every Location on the map. Also, they serve as the point in which you are able to take a Reboot Card to reboot a teammate after their mortality.
- Keyed Up Lobby Music
This Keyed Up is a Rare Emote in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It is able to be obtained at Level 67 of the Chapter 2: Season 3 Battle Pass. The keys are lined up as the color of the Rainbow.
How Does It Work?
Anyone is able to login to the reboot a friend site and check if they have any friends that need to be rebooted. To be eligible for the rewards, you have to play one game with the reboot friend. Remember that only friends who have not played Fortnite in 30 days that can be rebooted. You are going to see eligible friends on the site. You are only able to reboot on friend during the beta period, however it will likely be increased once the program is permanent. All rewards from the program are going to be issued to the winners within seven days. Here is the breakdown of how to get the free rewards:

Reboot A Friend Fortnite site
The reboot a friend program starts right now as early access and will be able to run through to January 4th, 2021. Probably Epic will continue with this program and make improvements during the early access test. We are going to see a lot more rewards for reboot a Friend once it becomes permanent.
To sign up and register to reboot a friend, you have to access the site here; https://raf.fortnite.com/. After that, you are able to click on the let’s reboot a friend button and login to your Epic Games account if you are not already logged in. Then, you are going to see the list of friends that are eligible. Please click the reboot button to the right of your friends Epic Games names.
