About DIY For Beginners
An item in Animal Crossing New Horizons or ACNH called the DIY for Beginners is able to be obtained from a shop known as Nook’s Cranny. This one costs 480 Bells. It is not able to be placed in the storage of the player.
When DIY for Beginners is used by the players, the players can be taught the DIY recipes for the items such as Frying Pan, Hay Bed, Ocarina, Old-Fashioned Washtub, Stone Stoll, and Wooden-Block Toy.
About Nook’s Cranny
Nook’s Cranny is the name of the place that sells a lot of things, including furniture, tools, and their native fruit. Not only that, it also can be considered as a pawnbroker, the place where everyone is able to sell things that they do not want in exchange for money.

Timmy and Tommy are the two characters that operate Nook’s Cranny. Compared to the previous versions, in Animal Crossing New Horizons, this one has larger inventory. Besides the original, there is also an upgraded version which also has the same name. Another thing that makes it different compared to the other version is the existence of the shipping box that is placed outside the store. This kind of thing is always available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to sell items for a reduced value, does not matter if the store is open or closed.
In the Animal Crossing New Horizons, at first, there is no building on the desert island. However, everyone is still able to buy and sell items by seeing Timmy who is found in the Resident Services tent in the time being. Apparently, several milestones have to be reached to construct the store, including paying off the initial 5,000 Nook Miles debt, upgrading from a tent to a house, and donating a total of 5 unique bugs or fish to Tom Nook and placing the tent of Blathers.
When you enter the Resident Services the next day, you will be able to witness Timmy and Tom Nook, discussing opening a store on the island. In order to learn more, you are encouraged to talk to Timmy and you will be asked to supply the crafting materials to construct the store. These crafting materials include 30 softwood, 30 wood, 30 hardwood, and 30 iron nuggets. Keep in mind that there is no need for these materials to be submitted all together. However, you will have to make sure that every material mentioned before will be given to him in full. If they are lower than 30, do not be surprised if he will turn it down. Once all the crafting materials are submitted, you will be handed with more than a 7×4 tile plot maker that can be used to choose the location of the store. After the plot maker is placed, the completed Nook’s Cranny will open the next day at 8 AM. According to Timmy and Tommy, they decided to give the name of the shop after the one that was run by Tom Nook a long time ago.
As mentioned before, Nook’s Cranny sells furniture, tools, and their native fruit. For the furniture, the ones that are offered are four pieces in total, including two that are limited and two that are unlimited. For the tools, the shop offers a full set of flimsy tools. In addition to furniture, tools, and their native fruit, there are also the slingshot, three kinds of flower seeds, two kinds of saplings, medicine, one umbrella, one wet suit, one wrapping paper, party poppers, customization kits, four wallpaper, four floorings, and DIY recipes available to purchase. Aside from the two limited furniture items, the other ones have unlimited stock and are able to be purchased more than once.
At Nook’s Cranny, there is also a hot item promotion run by both Timmy and Tommy. Every day, a certain item is chosen by them that can be used with a DIY recipe. These kinds of items are bought from the players for double its normal value. As the player of the game, you are free to sell as many hot items as you want.
