In Animal Crossing New Horizons, you may be waiting for the Turnip Lady whose name is Daisy Mae, but you find that she does not come. It is important for you to note that she comes on a certain day and at a certain time. You need to know when she comes and it will be explained here.

To be able to be visited by the turnip lady, Daisy Mae, you have to make sure that you have unlocked Nook’s Cranny. Then, the turnip lady will visit you every Sunday morning. She is an orange boar and you will find her to walk around your island. She is small and if you do not see her, you can find her behind some trees. You will see her carry a hat full of turnips on her head and she is wearing a blue dress with hashtag signs. She is available on Sundays from 5 am to 12 pm. After midday, she will leave your island.

Some Tips to Buy Turnips

According to the IGN site, here are some tips to buy turnips.

    • The prices of turnips which are sold by Daisy Mae will be different each Sunday. However, usually, it ranges from 90 Bells to over 100 Bells.
    • It is not like the other items, you need to buy turnips in bundles of 10. It is the reason why it is very expensive. If you buy turnips at under 100 Bells, usually it is a good bet for getting good Bell returns.
    • You have to consider writing down the amount of Bells that you spend to buy your turnips or you are able to take a screenshot of the price for reference. Then, you are able to compare it to the selling price on later days.
    • While you are buying turnips from Daisy Mae, you are able to press a button in the top right of the number pad which says ‘Buy the Max’, if you do not want to count the amount of turnips that you are able to afford. It takes the space of your inventory into account as well so that in case you only have one spot open, it will only permit you to buy one bundle of Turnips.
    • Do you have friends playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons? If so, you have to make sure to check what turnip prices they have. You are able to visit their town and then buy turnips from Daisy Mae if you find that they are cheaper at their island.

Storing Turnips

Another place to store your turnips is in open places outside or on the beaches. You can put them there, if you are not inviting friends over or sharing a Dodo Code in confidence. It is important for you to note that if there is another player who comes to visit your island, they are able to get your turnips so you have to make sure that they do not come to your island.

However, you are able to make them safe by building a fence around them so that when another player is visiting, you are not able to remove any furniture or structure and it can keep your turnips locked away until your visitors leave.

On the Dexerto, it is explained that you are able to bury the turnips in a designated area on your island. You can bury them until 10 pm the following Saturday.

Some Tips to Sell Turnips

Turnips will go bad after a week. So, you need to be able to sell them in a week. Here are some tips to sell turnips according to the IGN site.

    • Turnips will be bad after a week and if you sell the bad turnips, the price will be low. So, you have six days to sell your turnips. Let’s say that you leave rotten turnips out on grass or dirt. If so, they will be able to attract ants and sometimes flies. Then, you are able to catch them to donate to the Museum.
    • It is important for you to note that Timmy and Tommy will not buy Turnips on Sunday. So, you have to make sure to sell turnips before the following Sunday. You are also not able to sell turnips via the Drop-off box which can be found on the outside of Nook’s Cranny.
    • Let’s say that you decide to sell your turnips. It is up to you, but you need to keep an eye out for higher rates. Sometimes, Timmy and Tommy will offer fewer Bells than you paid for your turnips. So, you must avoid selling them then.
    • The price of turnips will be different in the morning and afternoon. It means that there will be a total of twelve different prices that they are able to be sold for across the week. If you do not like the price which is offered in the morning, then you are able to check again in the afternoon.
    • The desirable rate of turnip starts at 150 Bells per turnip. It assumes that you purchased them from Daisy Mae for 90 to 100 Bells each. It is rare to find that turnips are sold for 500 or 600 Bells each.
    • Usually, the best prices for Turnips are on Tuesday. However, it is important for you to note that it is not a guarantee so that you need to always check.
