What Ingredients Does Franklin Want for Turkey Day?
Same as Turkey Day in 2020, in 2021, this event comes back where Franklin will ask the players to find some ingredients to cook some food for Turkey Day fest. So, you have to find the ingredients and also secret ingredients for helping Franklin. However, it is important for you to know that even though this event is the same as Turkey Day event in 2020, but there is a change to the gratin ingredients where it changes from a Mussel and random mushroom to a Potato or a Carrot and a random mushroom.
For the fish meuniere also has flour as an option as well. Besides, there is also something new in the reward. If you can complete the four base recipes, you will get DIY recipes of each so that it permits you to cook them by yourself when you want to cook them.
In this event, Franklin wants you to find ingredients for making 4 dishes including clam chowder, pumpkin pie, gratin and fish meuniere. If you have cooked one of the dishes for the first time, you can add a secret ingredient to the meal. You just have to talk to Franklin after this specific dish has been cooked with the secret ingredients in your inventory and he will be able to upgrade it. - Clam Chowder
The ingredients needed are Manila Clams 3x. The secret ingredient is Scallop. The reward for finding these ingredients is Turkey Day Rug. You are able to find Manila Clams by wandering the beaches of your island and then you have to dig up the areas that spurt water. After you get all three manila clams, then you have to go back to Franklin and he will give you a reward namely Turkey Day Rug. A Scallop which is a secret ingredient can be found by diving for sea creatures. You must know that you can only add the Scallop after Franklin has cooked the clam chowder.

- Pumpkin Pie
The ingredients needed are Orange Pumpkin + random other Pumpkin. The secret ingredients are Two other pumpkin colours. The reward for finding these ingredients is Turkey Day Wall. Let’s say that you sold all of your pumpkin supplies after Halloween. If so, you can try trading ingredients with the villagers who are cooking in their homes.

- Gratin
The ingredients needed are random Mushroom + Potato or Carrot. The secret ingredient is Dungeness Crab. The reward for finding this ingredient is Turkey Day Flooring. To get Potato, you are able to grow it like other crops and you are able to begin it by chatting to Leif and getting some seed potatoes. Another way is that you can go on Kapp’n’s Boat Tour to see whether there are any potatoes growing on the island. How about getting mushroom? The mushroom grows near a randomly selected tree on your island. So, the thing that you have to do is to wander and see in the trees who knows that you can find mushroom. What can we do if we do not find the mushroom? If so, you are looking for it on your island and then you are able to try visiting Mystery Island by using Nook Miles tickets or trading ingredients with villagers. As explained earlier, the secret ingredient for gratin is a Dungeness Crab where you have to dive in the water surrounding your island to find it. If it is hard for you to find the crab, you can trade ingredients with the villagers who are at home on this event.

The ingredients needed are Sea Bass + random Fish or Flour. The secret ingredient is Barred Knifejaw. The rewards for finding the ingredients are Cornucopia + DIY recipes for each meal. If you live in the northern hemisphere, the random fish that will be asked by Franklin for you to find can be a Dab, Olive Flounder or a Red Snapper. If you live in the southern hemisphere, the random fish to find can be an Olive Flounder or Red Snapper. You are able to find the fish by fishing in the sea during the day. If you want, you can also get it by trading ingredients with villagers who are staying at home to cook.

How to participate in the Turkey Day event in Animal Crossing New Horizon? The first thing that you have to do is to go to the plaza outside of Residential Services. After that, in that location, there will be Franklin the turkey alongside a number of your villagers who are ready for the fest.
Unfortunately, Franklin does not have any ingredients for making some dishes so that you will be there for helping him.
You will be asked by Franklin to find the ingredients mentioned above to make some dishes including Clam Chowder, Pumpkin Pie, Gratin and Fish Meuniere.
As explained earlier, if you have cooked one of the dishes for the first time, you will be able to add a secret ingredient to the meal. The thing that you have to do is to speak to Franklin after this specific dish has been cooked with the secret ingredients in your inventory and then he can upgrade it.
