OSRS Vorkath on Slayer Task

One of the boss monsters called Vorkath is known as a blue dragon for the purpose of a Slayer task. As this one is also considered as undead, the Salve Amulet and any variant of it will work on him. However, do not stack it with the Slayer Helmet. There is no damage caused by Rings of Recoil on Vorkath.

Salve Amulet,
Salve Amulet

The Salve Amulet is able to raise the attack and strength of the wearer by 1/6th while attacking the undead monsters like Vorkath. Unfortunately, the bonus does not stack with the ones of a black mask or its variants. This one is rewarded from the quest known as Haunted Mine. It is made by cutting a Salve Shard using a chisel from a crystal outcrop at the bottom level of the Abandoned Mine and it is strung with a ball of wool. Instead of wool, the Lunar spell String Jewellery is also a good option.

Salve amulet(e)
Salve Amulet(e)

The Salve Amulet(e) is known as the upgraded version of the original Salve Amulet. This one is made by using the diary of Tarn on the normal version. it can increase the melee accuracy as well as the damage by 20% against undead like Vorkath when it is equipped. It is needed for you to have completed the Lair of Tarn Razorlor miniquest if you want to wear it. For those who have no idea about the Lair of Tarn Razorlor miniquest, it is the one that needs the Haunted Mine quest.

Wearing this form of Salve Amulet is another option if there is no black mask when it is faced with the undead slayer task that needs the helmet slot to be used.

There is no way for the 20% strength and bonuses of the Salve Amulet(e) to be combined with the 16.67% strength and attack bonuses of the black mask. When they are worn at once, the bonuses that will be applied are the Salve Amulet’s ones. On the other hand, it does stack with Void Knight equipment.

Salve amulet(ei)

Just like the Salve Amulet(e), the Salve Amulet(ei) is also the upgraded version of Salve Amulet. Everyone is able to actually imbue the Salve Amulet(e) to the Salve Amulet(ei) by playing the Nightmare Zone minigame for 800,000 Nightmare Zone points or through Soul Wars for 320 Zeal Tokens.

The Salve Amulet(ei) has the ability to increase the damage and accuracy of the wearer in Ranged and Magic by 20% while attacking undead monsters like Vorkath. It is the additional bonus to the 20% boost to attack and strength that is already given by the Salve Amulet(e).

Remember that the boost will work with melee as normal when you are fighting with more than one monster. However, it will only work on the main target enemy for magic and ranged attacks.

Sadly, the 20% strength and attack bonuses do not stack with the 16.67% strength and attack bonuses of the black mask. On the brighter side, it does stack with Void Knight equipment. As stated before, when these two are worn at once, the bonuses that will be applied are the Salve Amulet’s ones.

Vorkart on Task on Reddit

There is a post on the popular forum called Reddit made by parlemoidemath asking about Vorkath on Task. The user said that he checked the DPS calculator and it seems like the combination of Void and Salve has higher DPS than the combination of Slayer Helm and Anguish. He was wondering if there is any benefit to trying to get a blue dragon task for Vorkath.

As the reply to the post, Pecan_Millionaire said that the only benefit is 750 slayer XP per kill, bank loot and motivation to do Vorkath. As for Void and Salve, it is bit when on or off task. The second user, unknown, said that the only reason to do it though slayer is so the player is doing a task that they normally would not do, meaning more slayer points. It also helps with variety as well for those who are pet hunting. James4820 explained that 750 XP multiple 200 dragons equals 150k slay XP. It means the player gets a free 2ehp. If you want to know the other replies, please go to Reddit and find the discussion.
