When playing as an Ironman in OSRS and want to do crafting, it will unlock weapons, armour and most importantly, jewellery. Aside from being used for making money, crafting also provides the ironmen players amulets with enhanced stats over the amulet of accuracy.
As we know, if you’re playing as an Ironman, it will add the extra challenge of restricting your account to being entirely self-sufficient. Well, in the case of making money as an Ironman through crafting it will be a bit hard. Aside from that, F2P money making will also be challenging in OSRS, as there are the limitations of being a non-member.
No worries! This post will show you a crafting guide F2P Ironman that will lead you to easily earn money. So, let’s see the crafting guide F2P Ironman below!
Crafting F2P Ironman, Here’s the Guide!
On a free-to-play Ironman account, Crafting is possibly the best source of making money. You should know that different types of jewelry will give you some decent profit from general stores. So, if you want to make money when playing as an ironman, crafting jewelry is the best method you should do.
Way 1: Get Started
In order to make jewelry, you may have to mine either silver or gold. To get started , you have to reach a Crafting level of at least 16 and a Mining level of 20. It can be reached quickly using your bronze pickaxe from the start. In the first way, you may want to begin smithing your ores into bars, then into armor and then sell it to the general store.
After you have some money saved up, you can begin killing cows and gathering cow hides. You can also use the money that you have saved to tan the hides and make your way up to 16 Crafting.
Way 2: Taking Silver Method
If you take the silver method, you may need to buy a holy mould and tiara mould from the crafting store in Al-Kharid. Then, you can start mining silver ore, smelting it into bars and also crafting unstrung symbols. If you want to sell them, you can go to the bandit store in the Wilderness for 120 gp each.
To get the fastest way, you can mine your silver ore at the Varrock west mine and bank it. After you have enough saved up, you can go to Al-Kharid to do your smelting and crafting.
Additionally, if you play as an Ultimate Ironman, you may have to mine silver ore at the Al-Kharid mine, smelt and then craft it at a furnace. Afterwards, you can then sell it to a general store immediately. But, as an Ultimate Ironman, walking all the way to the wilderness is not worth it.
Alternatively, you can go to the Dwarven Mines in Falador to buy an upgraded pickaxe when you afford it. At level 23, you’re able to switch to crafting tiaras to get more experience per hour, but less profit.
Way 3: Taking Gold Method
If you’re already at level 40 Mining, you can switch to crafting gold necklaces or gold amulets. Well, this is the best method to mine the ore in the Dwarven Mines, bank and smelth/ craft your ores at Al-Kharid. It is known that this method is significantly more money per hour, but much less crafting and smithing experience.
Way 4: Looting Items in the Wilderness
The fastest and easiest way to earn money as an Ironman is by looting steel items that appear in the Wilderness. Even though this method is slightly dangerous, but it will give you some starting cash as quickly as possible. Keep in mind to always be careful to Pkers.
Steel platelegs will always appear at the Ruins in level 24 of the Wilderness. For more information, the Steel platebodies often appear in the Lava Maze at level 45 of the Wilderness. If you want to access the Lava Maze, it’s better for you to bring a knife or weapon to cut the spider webs.
If you sell the steel platebodies, they will cost for 1,200gp each at the Wilderness bandit store, while the platelegs will cost for 600gp each. To do the best way in this method, make sure to use the quick-hop function of the game.
By doing this, you can quickly hop to the other F2P worlds and take the items without waiting for spawns. Unfortunately, with the low number of F2P worlds, it can frequently be crowded.
Way 5: Stronghold of Security
We think that this is one of the most iconic methods that you can do to make some starting money when you play as an Ironman. To do this method, you can start by traveling to the Barbarian Village just west of Varrock. After that, you need to enter the hole in the center. You also need to go to the center of each floor and collect your rewards as you go.
It’s important to note that the final floor will not give you any money that only offers the option of the fighting boots or the fancy boots. Then, if you decide to do this early on and are at a low level, consider skipping the final floor.
Additionally, you should escape with a quick 10,000gp to start off your account if you did not die. In some cases, some players prefer to fish and cook some food before trying this method.
A Few Words about Ironman Crafting
In the case of doing crafting as an Ironman, you will find the Edgeville furnace as the closest furnace to a bank. With 40 Crafting, you surely can use the Crafting Guild, then Teleport to Falador with law runes for efficient Crafting training. Moreover, the Al-Kharid furnace has silver and gold rocks to the north without the need for law runes.
Here are some items that you can craft as an Ironman:
