Animal Crossing New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC does not have an end in itself, however there is a surprise for the players after completing 30 resorts and several facilities like a school and hospital. That surprise is a recall to a fan favorite new magazine starring DJ KK.
DJ KK is the alter ego of the acoustic dog artist. DJ KK first appeared in a new magazine for spinning records inside Club LOL and also played remixed versions of his songs. In fact, KK Slider brings the DJ persona back to Animal Crossing: New Horizons through a flostage at the Happy Home Paradise resort. It is a production and it reigns absolutely.
After you have completed many facilities and made 30 holiday homes in the resort Happy Home Paradise, you will be able to gather on the beach with Wardell, Lottie, and Niko for a little party. Then, KK Slider dressed in his DJ KK equipment comes on a fluid, neon-soaked stage for performing.
When the beat drops, everyone begins dancing. It is time to vibe when you scroll through some creations you made in Happy Home Paradise. When the party continues, you will be able to dance with your island friends, match dance movements to the song which DJ KK plays. Animal Crossing: New Horizons had several dance moves that the players could use. However, there are many new ones to debut on the DJ KK show. During the day and into the night, DJ KK is going to play remixes of his songs including the song of Bubblegum.
If you want more of DJ KK, then you are able to invite DJ KK to Brewster at The Roost cafe for a cup of coffee. Specifically with the DJ KK amiibo card, he is going to show up naked. He is wearing glasses, a hat, and headphones, and claims that he is not KK Slider.

K.K. Slider is known as DJ KK. He is a dog who appears in all of the Animal Crossing series games to date. DJ KK is a musician. He plays songs on his guitar. In Animal Crossing, he was able to be found near the train station. Animal Crossing: Wild World and City Folk had him playing in The Roost cafe whereas New Leaf saw him move to working in Club LOL. Like other special characters who appear in the Animal Crossing series, he does not celebrate his birthday. For your information, DJ KK plays 55 songs in Animal Crossing, 75 in City Folk, 70 songs in Animal Crossing: Wild World, 91 in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and 107 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Appearance of DJ KK
DJ KK is a white Labrador. He owns thick, black eyebrows which are nearly shaped like semicircles. Also, he has half-closed black eyes and a shiny black nose. Aside from that, he also has teeth which can be shown at times when he is singing. In fact, he wears no clothes in most of his appearances. But, in New Leaf, DJ KK wears headphones, a black cap, and black glasses when performing as DJ KK. In Happy Home Designer, he is going to wear a blue and white striped beatnik-style shirt, a black glasses and a black newsboy cap as his casual wear.
Personality of DJ KK
DJ KK is a hippie-style traveling musician. He comes across as someone that wants to be liberated, as shown by his rebellion against giving a price on his songs. This will add to the musician stereotype of going against a particular norm. Despite that, the songs of DJ KK are for sale in Animal Crossing: New Leaf for 3,200 bells when the player upgrades to T.I.Y. DJ KK has an obvious passion to perform for others, because he offers to play for people on a weekly basis. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, DJ KK seems to know Brewster well.
Role of DJ KK in New Horizons
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, DJ KK briefly shows up at the beginning of the game to talk to the player about setting out on their own. After the player has built an upgraded Resident Services building, Tom Nook will give the player a goal of improving the island to convince DJ KK to play a concert there. After the required 3 star island rating is met, then DJ KK is going to arrive the next day to play a concert. Afterwards, he is going to show every Saturday and then play a concert from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The player will be able to request a song for him to play. Like in previous games, the player is going to accept an aircheck copy from the first song he plays. The credits will play during requested songs. If there is any event which takes place in the plaza on a Saturday, DJ KK will show up on Sunday instead, or Monday if two separate events are held on weekends back-to-back such as the Bug Off and Fireworks Show.
In the Animal Crossing 2.0 update, 12 new songs were added. If you let DJ KK choose, he will likely play a new jam if he has not played that song in the past already. During DJ KK performances in the Animal Crossing 2.0 update, all villagers who attend his performance will get a light stick and jam. You are able to hold a light stick during the performance and you are able to raise it. If you do, all other villagers are going to raise their light sticks as well. At the end of the performance, everyone will clap for DJ KK.
