How to Get on the Same Server in Sea of Thieves 2022

The game called Sea of Thieves makes it possible for you to play with your friends or the other random players. As a player pirate, you will be able to make crews that consist of a maximum of four people. Actually, the maximum size of a crew depends on the size of the ship.

If you want to get you and your friends or some other random players to get on the same server in this game, here is step by step to follow:

    1. The first thing that you have to do is to load Sea of Thieves.
    2. When it loads, start a new game.
    3. After that, you will be able to choose the size of the crew, from the Sloop option (2 players max) to the Galleon option (4 players max).
    4. Feel free to choose the size of the ship that is suitable to you.
    5. By choosing any option, a new pop up will then show up. In this pow up, there is an Invite a Player option that can be used to include your friends in the game.
    6. However, if you want to join a random crew, all that you have to do is to choose the option to start the game without having to send an invitation.
    7. In the end, you will be either be put on a vessel with the other random players or be spawned onto a new vessel and wait for the other random players to join.

As the one who gets your invitation, there are several methods that another player can choose to accept the invitation. Firstly, they can accept the message that can be found in a pop up window within their session. Alternatively, they can accept it using the Xbox Game Bar.

That is the method to join the open crews. Aside from that, there is closed and arena crews. These crews consist of those who have specifically been invited to join. The only thing that makes them different is the size of the crew. If you are interested in joining either one of them, instead of sending invitation, you will have to wait to be invited instead. In the other words, the one who should invite you is another player. To make it possible, you will have to be friends with the one that you want to invite you on the Xbox application for Windows. Aside from that, there are no other ways.

How to Get on the Same Server in Sea of Thieves 2022

Talking about getting on the same server in Sea of Thieves, it might be important for you to know how to set up an alliance with these players, whether they are your friends or the random players. If you are an Xbox user, you can watch a tutorial video shared by Illogical Gaming. Here is the link that will take you to the video:

According to the video by Illogical Gaming, there are a few methods that you can try to create server alliances, as follows:

Method 1

It is an old method. In this method, you will have to hang out in the ferry of the damned waiting for slaying pirates. Do not forget to interact with these pirates. Sometimes, you can talk to everyone into alliancing together and even sharing locations. Just like any other methods, this method attracts sneaky pirates who will eventually stab you in the back. While it is one of the easiest methods, its risk factor has led innovative pirates to figure out new ways.

Method 2

The most common method is to find a bunch of like minded pirates who are also interested in the idea of starting an alliance server typically for similar purposes. You could use Facebook groups, Discord groups or the Xbox handy “Looking For” group where players can create a post seeking exactly the type of pirate they are interested in. You are also welcome to post your gamertag in the comments. Ideally you want 8 to 20 pirates to try and start an alliance server.

Method 3

If you create a post and you find 8 to 20 pirates then you are ready to start the server. First of all, you will want all pirates to switch their adventure settings to “Closed Crew” and check “Yes” next to the “Preferred player with Xbox and controllers only” option. You will also want all of the players to choose Galleon as the ship type. The reason why this is important is because PC has far too many servers to have any luck with this strategy. Xbox, on the other hand, usually only takes a few tries as they have much fewer sessions. Once everyone has the same settings marked, you will have someone in the party do a countdown and at the end of the countdown, all players need to push A to set sail.

Method 4

The idea is to create a new server and get a few of your party members on that server. Most crews will take a few blunderbombs from the ship and kill themselves hoping to meet their friends on the ferry of the damned. However, you can bypass this simply by using the reaper’s mark flags to see each other on the map. Once you verify that you have two or three Galleons on the same server, have those people invite users from the party that did not make it. If you have any leftover users, they can continue server hopping to get on your own server or they can remain in the queue for when other alliance members are turning their games off.

It should be easy for you to set an alliance in Sea of Thieves by following one of the methods explained by Illogical Gaming.
