In Sea of Thieves, there are a total of eight Treasure Vaults to find. If you want to open one of them, you will need a Stone, Silver of Gold Vault Key. As a clue, Treasure Vaults can only be opened by their appropriate Vault Key, described as small statues that are carved to represent a variety of symbols found throughout the Sea of Thieves.

All the Locations of Treasure Vaults in Sea of Thieves
You will know the exact island where the Treasure Vault can be found, depending on the symbol the Vault Key represents. However, the Key will have the island in the name of the Vault Key.
When you are on the island, it will get hard to find the exact location of the Treasure Vault. Even more difficult can be finding the lock that you have to put the Vault Key in that opens the vault door. Need to know, each Vault Key has an inscription that you can read and will give you a clue to the whereabouts of the Treasure Vault it belongs to.
Here are all the locations of Treasure Vault in Sea of Thieves:
Location 1: On Devil’s Ridge (Boar Vault Key)
The Treasure Vault that can be found on Devil’s Ridge is an easier vault to find. To find it, you just simply go to the South East beach of the island and search for the boar head rock paintings. You will find the Vault key’s lock just off to the left hand side of the cluster of boar head rock paintings. To open Treasure Vault, you need to place your Devil’s Ridge Vault Ket in the lock.
Location 2: On the Uncharted Island at N13 (Crab-Vault Key)
If you are familiar with the underwater cave found on the Uncharted Island at N13, we think it will get easier for you to find this Treasure vault. To get it, you need to go to the Uncharted Island and head to the West Side of it.
There, you will find a large red plant near the water. You can dive underwater beside that red plant. Then, you will view an underwater tunnel. You have to go inside and follow the tunnel until you reach the surface inside an underwater cave.
Inside the cave, you will view a workbench with a number of crab rock paintings behind it. You will find the Treasure Vault’s lock on the wall with the rock paintings. To open this Treasure Vault, you can place your Vault Key in the lock.
Location 3: On Crescent Isle (Moon Vault Key)
You will also find the Treasure Vault on Crescent Isle inside the Northern cave in the middle of the island. To get it, you can go inside the island’s center archway from the East and then turn right to enter the Northern Cave.
You can walk inside and turn to the right yet again as quickly as possible, so you are now facing East. You will find a few rock paintings of moons and a torch on the East wall. This place is where you will locate the lock for the Treasure Vault. To open this Treasure Vault, you can place your Vault Key in the lock.
Location 4: On Crook’s Hollow (Scarab Vault Key)
You will also find a Treasure Vault on Crook’s Hollow, exactly in the largest of the caves that can be found on the South side of the island. To get it, you can just West of the waterfall which covers the East exit of the Southern cave that is located on the South side of the cave near a number of scarab rock paintings.
If you face South and look at the cave wall with the rock paintings, you will see the lock for the vault to the right. To open this Treasure Vault, you can place your Vault Key in the lock.
Location 5: On Mermaid’s Hideaway (Snake Vault Key)
A Treasure Vault will be found on Mermaid’s Hideaway just on the Northern shores of the island. You can go to the North West side of the island underneath the arc. There, you will find a number of snake rock paintings that give you a clue of the right spot.
You just across from the wall to find the Treasure Vault lock. There, you will find it on the base of the arch on the West side. To open this Treasure Vault, you can place your Vault Key in the lock.
Location 6: On Kraken’s Fall (Shark Vault Key)
Another Treasure Vault can be found on Kraken’s Fall, just underneath the island’s main archway on the North West side of the island. To get it, you just simply go to the North side of this archway near the bay. Here, you will see shark paintings nearby.
You may need to walk a bit to the East towards some rock nearby while the vault entrance is near the shark rock paintings. The lock will be available on those rocks.
Location 7: On Fetcher’s Rest
On Fetcher’s Rest, you will find Treasure Vault in the caves found in the middle of the island. Just NorthWest of the volcano, you will see a Southern entrance to the caves. If you choose, you can enter from the North side.
You can head on it and beside the large anchor sitting against the cave, you will see rock paintings of eagles. Well, an Eagle Vault Key will finally be used as a key to open this Treasure Vault.
Location 8: On Ashen Reaches (Sun Vault Key)
On Ashen Reaches, you will find the Treasure Vault on the North side of the island. To get it, you need to find a small tunnel entrance, just beside the Scarecrow that can be found on the middle level of the island.
What you should do is to follow the tunnel down to find rock paintings of suns. You will then find the lock on the opposite side of the rock paintings. To open this Treasure Vault, you can place a Sun Vault Key in the lock that may be used some time in the future.
