In Sea of Thieves, meat is a type of Food item where it can be obtained from animals or beasts. You are able to cook meat to improve health regain benefits or you are able to sell it. Where can we sell Megalodon meat in this game?
Selling Megalodon Meat
In Sea of Thieves, you are able to sell Megalodon meat to The Hunter’s Call representatives on seaposts. On the Windows Central site, it is explained that if you kill a Megalodon, you will be awarded with skulls, chests, trinkets and about three pieces of Megalodon meat and you can sell cooked Megalodon meat for 150 at the Hunter’s Call Seapost.
What is the Hunter’s Call? It is a trading company that offers rewards in exchange for cooked meat, fish, and Treacherous Plunder. Also, they accept Mermaid Gems as well as empty Collector’s Chests.
Where Can We Find Meat?
According to the Sea of Thieves Wiki, you are able to obtain meat from any living creature upon death. Let’s say that there is a land creature which dies to Fire. Then, they will drop Burnt or Cooked Meat.

One piece of meat is dropped by Snakes, Pigs, Sharks and Chickens upon death. - Beast Meat:
- Up to five pieces of meat are dropped by Megalodons upon death.
- One piece is dropped by The Kraken per defeated tentacle.
- Meats of all types and of any cooked level have an opportunity to be found from these places:
- Shipwreck Barrels
- Barrels of Plenty floating at sea
- Food Barrels on Skeleton Ships
- Rowboat Chests
- Storage Crates

Chicken has four types including white feathered chickens which sell for 10 gold, red speckled chickens which sell for 30 gold, black plumed chickens which sell for 70 gold and golden chickens which sell for 150 gold. - Pork
There are four types of pork including pink pigs which sell for 10 gold, pink and black pigs which sell for 30 gold, black pigs which sell for 70 gold, and gold pigs which sell for 150 gold. - Snake
There are four types of snakes including red snakes which sell for 10 gold, blue snakes which sell for 30 gold, black snakes which sell for 70 gold, and golden snakes which sell for 150 gold. - Shark
Near sunken ships, sharks usually spawn or when you have been wading in the water for too long. You need to note that a shark always spawns in a group of at least two, but a maximum of four. A single attack will decrease your health by 50%, but it takes about 3 to 5 shots or sword strikes to kill it. At The Hunter’s Call Seapost, cooked shark meat sells for 25 gold. - Megalodon
There are five types of Megalodons including The Hungering One which is blue with a glowing fin, The Crested Queen which is purple with a glowing fin, The Shadowmaw which is a dark blue with a red glowing fin, The Ancient Terror which is gold with a shiny golden fin and The Shrouded Ghost which is white with a pink fin and eyes. If you can kill a Megalodon, you will be given skulls, chests, trinkets and about three pieces of Megalodon meat. At the Hunter’s Call Seapost, cooked Megalodon meat sells for 150. - Kraken
If you kill Kraken, it will award you skulls, chests and trinkets. Kraken meat will fall where the tentacles do, where the loot appears in the sea. At the Hunter’s Call Seapost, cooked Kraken meat sells for the similar price as cooked Megalodon.

Meat Storage
You are able to store meat in the ship’s Food Barrel or any plain, non-ship Barrel up to 100 per square, in the Rowboat chest up to 20 per square, in a Storage Crate, or in the player’s inventory up to 5 total Food items.
On Windows Central, it is explained that you are able to store up to 1,118 meat in the food barrel of your ship or 50 in your Supply Crate. They are stored together with your other food items.
About Megalodon Meat
In Sea of Thieves, Megalodon meat is a consumable food item. Same as other meat, this meat is able to be cooked and eaten to restore heath and get additional Health Regeneration benefits. According to the Sea of Thieves Wiki, here are the uses of Megalodon meat.

- If you take a bite out of cooked Megalodon meat, it can restore 100% health.
- Megalodon meat takes two bites to fully consume and it has a bonus health regeneration effect that will be able to heal you by 50% of your health.
- If you eat Raw or Under-cooked Megalodon meat, it is able to make you vomit.
