How to Brew Potions in Minecraft Recipes

In Minecraft, you are not only able to craft something in the crafting table, but you are also able to brew potions. If you want to make a potion, you have to brew it by using a brewing stand. Here, we will inform you about brewing potions in Minecraft and some examples of brewing potions.

The Steps to Brew Potions in Minecraft

If you will brew potions, you will begin the process with a water bottle and it is made by filling a glass bottle at a water source or filled cauldron. Then, you have to add a base ingredient to create a base potion. Nether Wart is used to create an awkward potion and then add blaze powder to the fuel slot.

If you brew an effect ingredient into the awkward potion, you are able to make a potion with a working effect. If you want to make the effect more intense or last longer or change the effect entirely, you are able to add a modifier ingredient.

In the steps below, you are able to see the steps of brewing potion.

• The first thing that you have to do is to craft a brewing stand in a crafting table. You can do that by arranging the ingredients as you can see in the following table.

• After that, you will need blaze powder and 1 to 3 glass bottles in their respective slots, together with a water source to fill the bottles with a water source block or a cauldron.

The Steps To Make Potion of Healing

If you want to make a Potion of Healing, the materials that you need are:

• 1 Nether Wart

• 1 Glistering Melon

• 1 Water Bottle

After you have the materials above, then you are ready to make the potion by following the steps below.

• First step, you have to open your brewing stand so that you will have a brewing stand menu.

• After opening the brewing stand, the thing that you have to do is to add blaze powder in the far left box to activate the brewing stand.

• Now, in the brewing stand menu, you have to put the materials in the top box and the potions are made in the bottom three boxes. If you want to make a Potion of Healing, as we explained above that you need 1 water bottle, 1 nether wart and 1 glistering melon. So, you have to put the water bottle in one of the bottom boxes in the brewing stand menu.

• Note that you are able to make up to 3 potions at a time and you can do that by adding 3 water bottles to the brewing stand.
• Next, you have to add the nether wart to the top box in the brewing stand menu. You will see that the brewing process has started since the bubbles will turn white and the arrow will turn white to show the progress.

• If the brewing is completed, the nether wart will be gone. Here, you will see that your bottle will contain an Awkward Potion which does not have effects.
• After that, the thing that you have to do is to add the glistering melon to the top box in the brewing stand menu.

• If the brewing stand process is done, there will be a boiling sound which is ‘glug glug glug’ and you will see that the glistering melon is gone.

• Now, the Potion of Healing is completed. Now, your bottle contains a Potion of Healing.

If you drink this Potion of Healing, you will have an instant health by adding 4 points to your health bar

The Steps to Make a Potion of Slow Falling (1:30)

If you want to make a Potion of Slow Falling (1:30), the materials that you need are:

• 1 Nether Wart

• 1 Phantom Membrane

• 1 Water Bottle

After you prepare the materials, now you are able to make this potion by following the steps below.

• The first step that you have to do is to open your brewing stand so you will have the Brewing Stand menu.

• After opening the brewing stand, you have to add blaze powder in the far left box to activate the brewing stand.

• Then, you have to put the materials in the brewing stand menu exactly in the top box and the potions are created in the bottom three boxes. As mentioned earlier that you need 1 water bottle, 1 nether wart and 1 phantom membrane to make Potion of Slow Falling.
• The first material that you have to add is a water bottle. You have to put it in one of the bottom boxes in the Brewing Stand menu.

• After that, you have to add the nether wart to the top box in the Brewing Stand menu.

• The sign that the brewing process has begun is when the bubbles turn white and the arrow will turn white to display the progress.
• If the brewing process is finished, the nether wart will be gone. In this step, you will see that your bottle contains an Awkward Potion which does not have effects.
• Then, you have to add the phantom membrane to the top box in the brewing stand menu.

• If the process of brewing is done, there will be a ‘glug glug glug’ sound and you will see that the membrane is gone. Now, the Potion of Slow Falling (1:30) is complete and your bottle will contain a Potion of Slow Falling.

If this potion is drunk, it will slow down how fast you fall and also it will be able to eliminate fall damage for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
