According to Halopedia, the Heatwave can fire energized shards of purple hardlight.  It is tuned to slice through living creatures while bouncing off of dense terrain of architecture. This weapon is completed with two different firing modes so that it permits the user to tune the weapon’s variable impact geometry on demand.

In the first firing mode, both sides of the front cowling are lengthened outward. Six projectiles are fired in a horizontal pattern. In the second firing mode, it has the side cowlings which are retracted inward and it is done to fire the six projectiles in a vertical diamond pattern. On both sides, the projectiles are able to bounce off of hard surfaces such as ceilings and walls. After it explodes, the hard light projectiles are able to disintegrate organic targets, the same as a lot of Promethean weapons.

The Heatwave was designed by the Forerunners and it was used by Warrior-Servants before the Halo Array’s activation and the ecumene’s self-banishment from the galaxy.

The Gameplay of The Heatwave

The Gameplay of The Heatwave

The damage which is done to the enemy by the Heatwave is low per shot. However, if this weapon is in the hands of skilled players, it can be a formidable power weapon because it is combined with its high rate of fire and unique alternate firing mode.

Combining a single shot with melee for quick kills is a common strategy with the Heatwave. The effectiveness of this weapon is particularly dependent on the amount bolts hit the intended target and also the distance the player is from the intended target.

Weapons in Halo Infinite

According to Games Radar website, there are 22 weapons in Halo Infinite. In multiplayer beta, you are able to try them now. Here are some of those weapons according to Games Radar.

    • Assault Rifle
There is a Halo Infinite iteration of the Assault Rifle namely the MA40 where it has a high rate of fire, a 36-round magazine and decent handling. With the features that it has, it makes this weapon a versatile close-range weapon. It has smart-link sights which returns from Halo 5: Guardians, so that Halo Infinite’s version of the Assault Rifle is able to be effective up to medium ranges as long as the player has good recoil control. However, it is important for you to note that the Assault Rifle will be outclassed by any of the precision weapons such as the Battle Rifle. It is because it is not accurate enough and the bullets do not deal enough damage.
    • Battle Rifle
There is Battle Rifle which features as one of the top precision weapons in Halo Infinite. The BR75 version of the Battle Rifle which can be seen in this game brings back the original Bungie-era appearance where it is completed with the mounted scope to give accurate aiming at longer ranges. In this game, defeating an enemy Spartan can be done in just four bursts as long as every bullet can hit the head of your enemy. If it is compared to the Halo 5: Guardians, Battle Rifle BR75 has a slower fire rate and vertical recoil so that BR75 is much less effective at closer range unless you can get those headshots consistently.
    • Commando
In Halo Infinite, you are able to find the VK47 Commando. This weapon features a fully automatic fire mode and 3x tactical optic but slower rate of fire and high recoil. This weapon has a small 20-round magazine so that it is intended for accurate fire at medium range which is able to go toe-to-toe with the Battle Rifle. However, it also gives players fighting at close-range which can control its strong recoil.
    • Sidekick
Even though Sidekick is not the classic magnum, but this weapon has a 12-round magazine and a decent fire rate for a semi-automatic gun. If you land seven headshots against an enemy Spartan with it, it will take them down easily at close-range. However, it is important for you to know that the high crosshair bloom from the Sidekick makes it very difficult to use at longer ranges.
    • Bulldog
CQS48 Bulldog is another Halo Infinite weapon which builds on a classic one and it can work differently to the traditional tactical shotgun of Halo’s past. This weapon still has the pump action. However, it is fully automatic, fires much faster and uses a seven-round drum magazine which makes reloading quicker overall. Unluckily, the Bulldog is not able to beat enemy Spartans with one shot. So, if you want to balance it out, it has a much better range where it permits you to get kills with two or three rapid shots consistently. ‘
    • Sniper Rifle
In Halo Infinite, you are able to find the original UNSC Sniper Rifle where it returns as the S7 Sniper Rifle. This weapon is one of the weapons which has not changed  from game to game even in Halo Infinite. Same as previous versions, the S7 Sniper still has the usual four-round magazine, its variable zoom scope but this time in a 5x-10x configuration and can still one-shot kill in multiplayer if you can pull off a headshot.
