Since there are a lot of DLCs for the game called Destiny 2, knowing where to start can be hard.  In this guide, you will be able to find out the order they were released. Not only that, you will also be informed about the content that they bring to the game.

    • Curse of Osiris

Curse of Osiris is named as the first DLC expansion pack for Destiny 2. This one was released on December 5, 2017. The plot of this expansion is based on Mercury and it shows the Guardian that makes an effort to save Osiris from the Vex in order to avoid a gloomy future. The story of it focuses on the relationship between Osiris and his disciple named Ikora Rey.

Curse of Osiris

After many years of exile, Osiris comes back and reaches out his former student named Ikora Rey. The Vex is found by him from both past and future timelines. It is stated that they are gathering on Mercury. Even though it is a bit hard for the Ikora to believe Osiris, she still asks the Guardians to find him and if she is able to trust him as she is considering making him an ally in the battle. An area on Mercury has been converted into the Infinite Forest by the Vex. It is an implicit simulation of the galaxy where the Vex uses their plans to bring into reality. This one is commanded by Panoptes, Infinite Mind.

    • Warmind

Warmind

The second DLC expansion pack for Destiny 2 is called Warmind. The storyline starts with a Guardian named Ana Bray, the one with thought loss who seeks a link to her past. She is guided to the polar caps of Mars. When Golden Age Warstats begins hitting the ice, the glaciers begin to melt, making the core of the Warmind Rasputin and the ancient Hive army bent on its demolition exposed. After having a freedom, the Hive Army serves god Xol. It is a must for the Guardian to help Ana to learn her past and to stop the god of the Hive.

    • Forsaken

Forsaken

Forsake is the third expansion pack for Destiny 2. This one was released on September 4, 2018. It included significant updates to the gameplay, weapons, reward systems, storyline, games modes, and raid of the game. If you are wondering about the storyline, it is about a Wild West revenge tale as the Guardian and Vanguard face the loss of Cayde-6 and the rogue Fallen faction, the Scorn, led by Uldren Sov.

The reef has begun to corrupt into lawlessness after a few years of turbulence. Both Cayde-6 and the Guardian have a job to investigate the area and help mitigate the main issues of the area. When landing at The Reef, there is a huge prison breach at the Prison of Elders, causing a few of the most wanted and deadly criminals to be released.

    • Shadowkeep

The fourth expansion pack of Destiny 2 is known as Shadowkeep. This one was released on October 1, 2019. It takes place on the Moon. The comeback of several earlier fought enemies such as Crota, Skolas, Atheon, and Ghaul mark this expansion.

The main mission of the Guardian from Eris Morn is to retreat to the Moon in order to defeat the new and undiscovered opponent. While on the way to find Eris Morn, the Guardian meets a few, including Crota, Ghaul, and Fikrul. However, they are saved by Eris Morn in the middle of the battle. After that, the Guadian and Eris try to find the answers about a new and dark threat. During the hunting, more past opponents make their comeback.

    • Beyond Light

The fifth expansion pack of Destiny 2 is Beyond Light or Go Beyond The Light. This one was released on November 10, 2019. It features the comeback of the Exo Stranger. It also allows the Guardians to use the power of the Darkness for the first time ever.

There is a new power that comes from the ancient Pyramid Ship that is located above the iced frontier of Europa. Below it, there is a mysterious empire, gathered under the banner of the Fallen Kell of darkness named Eramis. With the born of new threat, there is a new power. This one is mysterious. The name of it is Statis. Born in Darkness, this new primary power will be used by the Guardians along with Arc, Solar, and Void, asking epic supers to rule the battlefield.

    • The Witch Queen

The sixth expansion pack of Destiny 2 will be The Witch Queen. Besides, it will also be known as the ninth expansion of the Destiny franchise after Destiny 2: Beyond Light. According to the schedule, it is going to be released on February 22, 2022. Sadly, Bungie has not provided any official information about it so the details are unknown.

    • Lightfall

The last DLC expansion pack for Destiny 2 will be Lightfall. It is believed to be the last one since Bungie has already dropped many expansions in the game. There is a rumor that will be released in the Destiny 3. Unfortunately, there is no much information known about it as of now.

Aside from these seven, some sources also include Black Armory, Joker’s Wild, and Penumbra in the list of the Destiny 2 DLC. Black Armory is the one that was released on December 4, 2018 as part of the Destiny 2 Road Map. This one is known as the first expansion in the Destiny 2 Annual Pass. It includes new activity, raids, new weaponry, and armor. Joker’s Wild, which is also known as Season of the Drifter, is named as the second expansion of the Destiny 2 Annual Pass. This expansion was released on March 5, 2019. It revolves around the Drifter and the secret ringleader of Gambit. Penumbra, the one that is known as the Season of Opulence, was dropped on June 4, 2019. It included a new raid, Crown of Sorrow with a new mode named The Menagerie.
