The Blueprints are one of the most intelligence systems at work in Factorio. When you come to this page, you may want to find out the best Blueprints in Factorio. You are at the right page. Here we are going to reveal that information.
The best Factorio Blueprints
While you have to try making your own blueprints, sometimes the best way forward is to learn from others. Here are the best blueprints for Factorio. All of these are available at factorioprints.com.
-
- Base in a book
Based in a book is the final blueprint book. This Nialus’ Base-in-a-Book features all the blueprints used in his Youtube series. The book is designed to bring you from a stranded interstellar explorer to master of the manufacturing realm.
-
- Tileable Science
Tileable Science is one of the best Factorio blueprints which gives you a beautifully compact and efficient layout for every science pack on the game.
-
- Circuit Book
Circuit Book is from Ranzolger. This Blueprint book provides full blueprints for all the circuits that you will need to manufacture across the game.
-
- Power Book
Power Book is dedicated to the wonderful world of power generation. It covers blueprints for every kind of power generating, taking you from steam power, through solar, all the way up to making your own nuclear power plants.
Well, in the text below, we are going to explain more detail about the best Factorio Blueprints above.
1. Base in a Book
This is a book which combines all of Nilaus’ blueprints utilized in his Youtube series. It was concatenated for convenience in an original form (all credit to Nilaus). Update 2019-01-09: Added indicators for inputs and outputs by using constant combinators. Minor icon / title changes.
Update 2019-01-07: Added the missing blueprints 13. Blue Science, Engines and Electric Mining Drills.
2. Tileable Science
These science blueprints are very compact, easy to build and also have a good ratio. Do not hesitate to comment if you have any suggestions of improvements. They have been designed with considering expansion, so that you are able to start up small and then add more tiles if faster research is required. The description states that it is good for Early to Mid game, but easily you are able to continue using the designs in the late or end game if you upgrade to assembler 3, blue belts, stack inserters and put in many modules. In the end of the game, a beaconed approach with modules will be able to save more space or resources. However, it will need a full redesign.
Need to know that the input or output belts are denoted by using constant combinators only for information, these can be removed if you want after the relevant resource has been pulled from the bus. For those who want to skip adding underground belts or constant combinators for the second tile, you have to click Shift+Click to overlap them with the previous tile. Eventually they will not be added. If the overlay on the constant combinator is not appearing, you have to go into Settings – Interface – Show Combinator settings in Alt-mode.
Each type of tile will produce a different amount of science pack, so you have to ensure to build tiles in this ratio to balance the production of science to multiples of 1.5/second: Red: 1 tile, Green: 1 tile, Blue: 2 tiles, Grey: 2 tiles, Purple: 2 tiles, Yellow: 2 tiles.
-
- Red (Automation) science 1.5/second – Inputs: Copper 1.5/second, Iron 3/second
- Red (Automation) science 1.5/second (Gear-input) – Inputs: Copper 1.5/second, Gears 1.5/second.
- Green (Logistic) science 1.5/second – Inputs: Iron 6.75/second, Green circuits 1.5/second.
- Green (Logistic) science 1.5/second (Gear-input) – Inputs: Iron 2.25/second, Green circuits 1.5/second, Gears 2.25/second.
- Blue (Chemical) science 0.75/second – Inputs: Iron 3/second, Steel 0.75/second, Red circuits 1.125/second / Sulfur 0.375/second.
- Grey (Military) science 0.75/second – Inputs: Coal 3.75/second, Iron 3.375/second, Bricks 3.75/second, Steel 0.375/second, Copper 1.875/second.
- Purple (Production) science 0.75/second – Inputs: Steel 6.25/second, Stone 3.75/second, Iron 1.875/second, Bricks 2.5/second, Green circuits 1.25/second, Red circuits 2.5/second.
- Yellow (Utility) science 0.75/second – Inputs: Iron 1/second, Batteries 0.5/second, Lubricant 3.75/second, Green circuits 1.25/second, Steel 2/second, Processing units 0.5/second, Copper 15/second, Plastic 3.75/second.
- Yellow (Utility) science 0.75/second – Inputs: Iron 1/second, Lubricant 3.75/second, Batteries 0.5/second, Green circuits 1.25/second, Steel 0.5/second, low density structure 0.75/second, processing units 0.5/second,.
3. Circuit Book
Circuit Book is the blueprint book for all three kinds of circuits: Green circuits, Red circuits and blue circuits.
The numbers for the individual colors:
-
- Green circuits
45/second (1 belt)
Early/midgame (3 stages)
-
- Red circuits
11,25/s (1/4 belt)
Early/midgame (2 stages)
-
- Blue circuits (processing units)
45/s (1 belt)
Early/midgame (2 stages)
3. Power Book
The book was updated on May 12nd, 2020. Chunk alignment and 1.1 updated on February 1st, 2021: Fixed the Uranium Processing Blueprint. Of course, the book for all your needs.
Power Book has steam engines, solar farms, and nuclear power plants from many sources. Everything is tileable, except for the circle. For note: Nuclear power plants need power to start, initially, for combinaters and inserters (1 MW), and a certain number of water pumps.
About Blueprints in Factorio
The Blueprints are items which contain building layouts. Blueprints are used to copy and paste parts of a factory. Built areas are able to be selected for inclusion in a blueprint. Once a blueprint is placed, a ghost of the layout appears on the ground. This is able to be used as a guide for placing factory pieces manually, or commonly, handed over to construction robots to automated completion. The Blueprints will be stored in a blueprint book or blueprint library to prevent them occupying inventory space or for organization or sharing purposes.
For your information, the blank blueprints can be made by clicking the Blueprint button in the shortcut bar. Now, the blank blueprint can be used to copy a set of buildings. For example, you are able to copy this small laser defense setup.
