In the game by Nintendo known as Animal Crossing New Horizons or ACNH, there are a lot of buildings. Each of them has a different size dimension. As a player of the game, it is important for you to know about the building sizes. If you have zero idea about it, you can check out the guide below.

- Player’s Home
Player’s home should be 5 wide by 4 long. It is slightly larger compared to the villager home. Besides, there is 1 extra space in front. Keep in mind that it is impossible to dig that with a shovel. If you want to relocate it, you will have to spend 30,000 Bells.

- Nook’s Cranny
Nook’s Cranny should be 7 wide by 4 long exteriors. It is a wide building. There is no way for it to be changed with the upgrade to the shop. If you want to relocate it, you will have to spend 50,000 Bells.

Tailor should be 5 wide by 4 long. There is an extra space located in the front that cannot be dug by using a shovel.

- Inclines (Staircases)
Inclines should be 2 wide by 4 long, consisting of 2 x 1 spaces on the cliff and 2 x 3 spaces on the land below. Remember that it is a must for them to be flush against a cliff. Besides, the long part flat also should be against the side.

- Bridges
Bridges should be 4 wide by 4 long sections of water and only vary through the length of the water. There is a 2 wide walkway in every bridge. They are able to be located over 3, 4, or 5 tiles of the water. However, it should be noted that there is no way for them to go over a section of water wider than 5 tiles. On the other side of the bridge, there should be 3 open tiles that do not intersect with anything. In fact, the construction is unlikely to proceed if there is a cliff, or a waterfall, or a structure in that area. Do not forget that they must be flat on both sides of the land.

- Rivers
Each river has to be at least 3 wide to spawn fish. One will be considered a river if it is connected to the likes of a waterfall and a river mouth. Sometimes, multiple ponds that are connected by streams can also be considered as a river. If you want to make sure if it is a river, you can just fish in it. You can tell it is a river if the water around the bobber is streaming in one direction.

Ponds have to be at least 3 by 3 to spawn fish.

- Trees
Trees have to be at least 1 tile of space between itself and a building to be planted.

- Furniture and Paths
There are no rules for the furniture and the paths. Feel free to place the furniture, paths, and the other items in the game right up against a house. However, there is an exception, which is to not place paths or furniture of any kind in the resident service plaza.
Talking about buildings and facilities in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you have to take note a few things, such as:

- It is needed for the buildings to be at least 1 space apart for them to be built next to each other.
- There is one extra space in front of the building where it is unlikely to be dug with a shovel.
- There is no way for the Resident Services building and Plaza to be relocated.
- It is needed for the rivers to be at least 3 spaces wide to be able to spawn fish.
- It is needed for the trees to be at least 1 space away from the other buildings to be planted.
- It is needed for the body of the water to be at least 3 x 3 spaces to make a fishing pond.
