Chongyun as a Good Character in Genshin Impact
Chongyun is one of the playable characters in the Genshin Impact game. He has Cyro skills where he is able to use ice-based attacks to be able to freeze enemies in their attacks. Also, he can use claymore for melee damage and it can make him great for a DPS role. He can be stronger with the best character build.
The normal attack of this character deals single damage to an enemy. But, Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst that he has can do AoE damage and it makes him great as a damage dealer in just about any party in the game.
If you are lucky to get this character in Genshin Impact, you need to know that he can be leveled quickly to be an excellent damage dealer. He has a great damage output so that the Artifacts and weapons for his best builds in the game must be focused on increasing ATK and DMG stats. As explained above that he also has ice-based Cyro skills which are great. However, they still revolve around close-up melee attacks.

If you ask about the best weapons for Chongyun, the answer may be Wolf’s Gravestone. It is because it can increase his Base ATK by up to 40%. If there is an enemy whose health is below 30%, all party members will get their Base ATK raised by up to 80% for twelve seconds. It means that everyone can get benefit from Chongyun by using Wolf’s Gravestone.
Another weapon which can work greatly with Chongyun is the Prototype Aminus. This weapon can be crafted in Mondstadt with the proper materials. This claymore will give a 50% chance of Normal and Charged Attacks dealing additional damage of up to 480% to all enemies in a certain radius.
The Best Team for Chongyun
We can say that team building in this game is subjective. Also, there is no one defined way of approaching it. However, some characters in the game can synergize very well when they are used in a party. As we know that Chongyun is usually played as a main damage dealer. So, he needs a dedicated healer. Then, who is the best fit for him? The answer may be Barbara. It seems that she is a good fit for the role. It is because Barbara provides consistent healing and also she is a Hydro user and it is great for freezing enemies.
Who else? Fischl can also be a good candidate to be paired with Chongyun. Fischl is a ranged Electro user. It means that she can combine it with the Cyro abilities of Chongyun to be able to trigger the semiconductor effect.
The Look of Chongyun
If you see this character in the game, you can see that he is a teenage boy who has light blue hair which reaches his ears, pale skin and ice-blue cat slit eyes. He wears a symmetrical white hooded jacket with navy embroidery. He also wears a blue shirt with gold decals over white pants with gold cuffs. Also, there is a dark navy undershirt that he wears along with it. What about his shoes? He wears black and gold slipper. And if you look at his right wrist and right ankle, you will notice that he has bandages around them.
The Personality of Chongyun
Chongyun has a positive and honorable character. He is a young man who has a passion for sweets. Usually, he is very stoic and composed. However, it is not always the case. When he heats up physically, his congenital positivity will cause him to get into a nearly manic state during which he loses it and to be friendly, illogical and excitable. Meanwhile, usually he causes extreme chaos.
When he returns to normal, he does not remember anything from his time in this state. And usually, he will be upset by the havoc he learns he wreaked and then he will go to extreme lengths to apologize for his behaviour.
There are a lot of things that can make Chongyun go into this state such as standing in the sun for too long, eating hot or spicy food, and wearing warm clothing. He always tries to avoid anything which can trigger this congenital positivity at all costs.
