The real name of Gloom is Kassima “Kassie” Isabelle. She was born on December 19th, 1990 and she is a Canadian YouTuber. In 2011, she first introduced herself online on CloudyApples which is a YouTube channel with a lifestyle theme. Then, she took a break for two years, but then she went back in 2013. She made a decision to move on and he created another channel in 2015 named GloomGames .Then, it was changed to Gloom. On this channel, she uploads gaming and commentary videos and also skits, vlogs, and parody arts-and-crafts and cooking videos.

With three siblings, she grew up. So, she has an older brother, a younger sister, and an older sister. Kassie was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, but she spent most of her childhood in Singapore. She went back to Canada and she began elementary school. There, she was bullied because of her physical appearance which represented that of a Chinese person.

In middle school, she met a girl named Ashleigh and then she became her best friend. Near the end of Kassie’s middle school years, Ashleigh moved to another school and Kassie’s family faced issues that caused more anxiety for her.

She said that her high school years were a nightmare. She often skipped her classes in her final two years and she would not take care of herself. Then, she learned that she and her sister had clinical depression.

Then, she became a student at a college with her brother and there she could improve her grades and she got scholarships along with an invite to a university. In the first few months of her semester in university, she ran into a number of health issues and it caused her to feel fatigued and insecure. The thing that she did to battle her depression was using anti-depressants and it made her feel suicidal, spontaneous, and irritable. After she got severe emotional difficulties, then she withdrew from university and she went on a number of diets only to worsen her situation. Soon, she gave up her dietary habits and medications, and in her case, she gave an explanation that it had an incredible impact on her life. Then, she went back to university.

Her younger sister committed suicide in the summer of 2013 and she passed away. It was when she was around 21 years old.

As of January 8th, 2022, she made an announcement in a video titled “Signing Off” that she was taking a break because of stress from a scary situation where she thought she had breast cancer. However, after some tests, it was proved that the lump in her breast was just a cyst. In this video, she also said that she had an aunt who was also named Kassima who passed away because of cancer.
