- Through Microsoft Store/ Game Pass
If you have Sea of Thieves digitally through the Microsoft Store or Game Pass, you need to click this link to access the build being sure to sign your Microsoft account that has Sea of Thieves or your Game Pass into the top right corner.
If another account is logged in, you can switch the accounts. After the correct account is logged in, you will own the option to ‘Install’ the Insider build. You may also find a link to open the Insider build product page within your Microsoft Store app.
Continuing through this way will allow you to install the Insider build as common. So, make sure this account is also logged into your Microsoft Store. However, you must have signed up here. Make sure to accept the terms and conditions in order to play the Insider Build.

If you have Sea of Thieves through Steam, you will be eligible to access the Steam Insider build. You should have signed up here and make sure to accept terms and conditions in order to play the Insider Build.
After signing up to Insiders, you also have to claim your Steam Insider key and scroll the page down to the ‘Get a Steam code’ section and choose ‘Get Code’. By doing so, it will generate your Steam Insider code that you can copy to clipboard and claim by opening the Steam Client and choosing ‘Games’ à ‘Activate a Product on Steam’. After that, pasting your code when required. After completion, the Steam Insiders build will be available in your games list.
