In Animal Crossing New Horizons update 2.0, there are a lot of new crops that you are able to obtain. You are able to cook some meals so that it requires you to get some vegetables for the ingredients. However, how do we get vegetables in Animal Crossing New Horizons?
Getting Vegetables in Animal Crossing New Horizons
In the Animals Crossing New Horizons, you are able to get vegetables such as carrots, potatoes and tomatoes. They are needed to make some delicious food. You are able to get most ingredients easily such as sea bass, mushrooms and weeds. However, if you want to get vegetables, it requires you to pay a visit to Leif.
On your island, Leif will appear randomly in front of the Resident Services building. He will sell a random start to you. It means that you are not guaranteed to get vegetables like tomatoes, potatoes or carrots from him. You may eventually get wheat or sugarcrane.
Another way to get vegetables in Animal Crossing New Horizons is to go to Harv’s island and you have to pay 100,000 Bells to the gyroids to help Leif set up a permanent shop. Then, he will refresh his stock every Monday and you are able to visit him anytime.
If you want to check his stock, you have to talk to Leif. After that, you have to choose the starts that you want to buy and then hit A to confirm your choice. The cost for potatoes, carrots and tomatoes starts is 280 Bells each. However, you only have to buy them once because the starts will produce crops again even after the first harvest. The thing that you have to do is to keep watering them.
If you have crops, you will be able to make food in your kitchen.

Cooking Food
To be able to cook food, the first thing that you have to do is to collect recipes. It can be obtained from Nook Miles redemption, Nook’s Cranny or through villagers and messages in a bottle washed up ashore. After you get the recipes, you must collect ingredients. After that, you have to use the Stonework Kitchen to be able to cook. To interact with it, you must press A.
