The Lake Guardians are back to Legendary Raids in Pokemon Go. Mesprit is one of the Lake Guardians that will return to Raids, along with Uxie and Azelf, for the rest of this month. With their return, it will be the first time the trio have the potential to be Shiny.

In other words, those areas are suitable and ideal for both catching uncommon Pokemon and increasing your Pokemon levels quickly. Then, in which areas can Mesprit be found? Initially, Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf were found in the Sinnoh  region of Gen IV.

Moreover, each of them represent a specific concept. Mesprit represents emotion, Uxie represents knowledge and Azelf represents willpower. They were created by Arceus who also has the ability to calm Dialga and Palkia.

Even though they are Psychic types that have the same weakness and resistance, but they have slightly different movesets and stats. Furthermore, They are the only Legendary Pokemon that are locked in Pokemon Go. Each of them can only be challenged in a specific area of the world at a time, though they have rotated before.

How to Catch Mesprit?

When Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf return and appear in PoGo Raids Battles, you surely can find each depending on your location. In this case, if you are in the Asia-Pacific region, you may face Uxie. Azelf can be encountered by the trainers in the Americans and Greenland. Last, you will encounter Mesprit if you are in the Middle East, Europe, India and also Africa.

Unfortunately, it may be a bit hard for you to defeat a trio of Legendary Pokemon. You probably will need the Premier Balls that you earn when defeating those wary Pokemon. That can be the only one way to catch them.

To make it easier for you to catch them, you can help your team to take over the Gym before the raids begin, fight alongside your friends and then pick up Pokemon that will perform well in the battle.

So, here are some tips that you can do to defeat Mesprit:

1. 1. Maximize your damage with Ghost-type and Dark-type Pokemon

You should know that Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf are all weak against the same three types including Dark, Ghost and Bug. It’s highly recommended for you to use Pokemon like Origin Forme Giratina, Gengar and also Chandelure. They are known to be able to deal damage the fastest. So, make sure to use them if you want to deal damage as quickly as possible.

Alternatively, you can also use Pokemon like Absol, Tyranitar, Houndoom, Honchkrow, Hydreigon and also Weavile that have the ability to deal damage greatly. Sure, as Dark types, each will have the added benefit of resisting Psychic-type attacks.

Another Pokemon which resists Psychic-type attacks is a Mewtwo. It knows Shadow Ball from its appearance as an Ex Raid Boss. Another factor to consider resistance is that Azelf, Uxie and Mesprit probably know the Normal-type Charged Attack Swift. However, it will reduce damage to Pokemon like Tyranitar, Gengar and Giratina.

You should know that their moves and stats will have some differences, though all of them are Psychic-type Pokemon. In this case, Uxie prefers defense over offense, while Azelf will deal and receive  the most damage.

Mesprit is in the middle with more balanced defense and offense. Each probably knows a Charged Attack that the others cannot learn. Moreover, Uxie may know Thunder, Azelf may know Fire Blast and Mesprit probably knows Blizzard.

In case of using a Pokemon with more than one type, you need to be careful. For example, when you take Honchkrow, you have to know that this is a Dark type which is also Flying type. Certainly, it may take super effective damage from some of those attacks.

You do not expect too much that nature will help you a lot when fighting Psychic-type opponents, so you need to keep an eye out just in case. It’s better for you to take consideration of using more Dark-type or Steel-type Pokemon in your party when the Psychic-type attacks of trio Legendary Raids are empowered by windy weather.

Moreover, the Dark-type and Ghost-type attacks will be dealing extra damage if you experience foggy weather. We think that you are probably more inclined to try Bug-type Pokemon such as Scizor and Pinsir when their attacks are encouraged by the rain.
