The Gen 4 remakes that have been always wanted by many are finally here. They are Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. With these two, everyone is able to turn to the Sinnoh region and make one of the most memorable adventures in Pokemon history live again.
Similar to most Pokemon titles in the Pokemon series, the main purpose in the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl is to catch these Pokemons. In order to fill your Pokedex, the best way among the others is evolution.
There are a lot of Pokemons that can be evolved. One of them is called Budew. In the game named Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, Budew refers to a Grass- and Poison-type Baby Pokemon.
Evolving Budew in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl is not as easy as it seems and it is not as simple as the other evolutions. The reason is because there are a few special requirements that you have to meet before it will become Roselia. That’s why some people might be confused with the method. Fortunately, you are here and you will be informed about how to evolve Budew in the game.
In order to evolve Budew in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, you can follow these following instructions:
-
- The first thing that you need to do is to get a Budew. There are several options to choose from to be able to get one. Firstly, you can go to the wild on Routes 202 and 212. Besides, you can also find it in the Great Marsh and Eterna Forest. In addition, this Pokemon is also able to be found in the Great Underground locations. For those who have no idea about these locations, these include Sand Cave, Still-Water Cave, Sunlit Cavern, Grass Water Cave, and Grass Cave. When planning on getting a Budew in the wild, please use a Luxury Ball, which is proven effective to increase the rate at which its Friendship increases. Actually, there is another way to get Budew, which is to breed a Roselia or Roserade while holding the Rose Incense item. By doing so, there will be an egg produced with a Budew inside.
- After getting a Budew, it is time for you to focus on increasing the Friendship level of Budew. There are a few ways to increase the Friendship level, including winning battle with Budew, keeping Budew in the party and allowing it to follow you around, giving Budew a message in Veilstoone City, not letting Buudew faint, using Budew in contests (entering Budew in Super Contests in Hearthome City), letting Budew hold a Soothe bell that is found in The Pokemon Mansion, and catching it in a Luxury Ball.
- When you are done increasing the Friendship level of Budew or once Budew shows two small hearts on the Friendship Checker app that is unlocked in Eterna City, lastly, level up Budew during the day with high friendship. By following the step, you will be able to make Budew evolve into Roselia. When the process is done, go check its Friendship level with the Poketch.
After evolving Budew into Roselia, you might want to evolve Rosalia into its final evolution, which is Roserade. To be able to do so, a Shiny Stone is needed. This item is like everywhere as there are a lot of places to get one. These locations where you will be able to get a Shiny Stone include Iron Island, Route 228, and Grand Underground.
Talking about these locations, keep in mind that they will not come until much later in the game. According to GameRant, Iron Island will not be available until you have reached Canalvine City. Please talk to a sailor to set out for Iron Island. Make sure to not miss out on the chance to get a Riolu Egg. In this location, the Shiny Stone is located in a Poke Ball Item that is found to the right close to the exit.
In order to go to the second location, which is Route 228, you will have to take the bike and go north, up the second cliff, and across the wooden bridge. It is worth noting that this location will be only available after the Elite Four.
As for the last location, Grand Underground, it is not that recommended. Compared to the first two, the chance of getting a Shiny Stone is lower and everything depends on your luck. However, it is still worth trying and it is the last option for those who have already got one on Iron Island and on Route 225. You can also try to get one here if you want to try and get one before going to Canalvine City. Once you have successfully obtained a Shiny Stone, you will be able to use it to evolve Roselia into Roserade. It should be noted that once this kind of stone is used to evolve Roselia into the last evolution, which is Roserade, there will be no way for it to learn any more moves naturally by leveling up. In this case, you will have to make sure to get all the moves that you want to learn as Roselia before evolving it into Roserade.
Roserade is known to be the best Gras-type Pokemon. This one is available in both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. It tops the list as the best Grass-type Pokemon because it has the ability to deal high damage as well as apply poison.
It should be easy for you to evolve Budew in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl by following the guide explained above. In case you are having a hard time, it is better for you to contact the developer. If it is too complicated or too formal for you, you might also want to seek help from the community of the game, especially the one that is related to the Pokemon series.
