The Chalk Prince and the Dragon is one of the quests in Genshin Impact v1.2. In this quest, there are a total of 4 acts. If you are able to complete them, you will be able to get the rewards which one of them is Glimmering Essence. All of the 4 Acts have different times to start. If you want to get Glimmering Essence, it can be obtained in Act 2. The Chalk Prince and the Dragon Quest itself will begin on December 25th, 2020 at 04:00 local time.

As explained above that Glimmering Essence can be obtained in Act 2. If you play The Chalk Prince and the Dragon quest, you have a chance to unlock a lot of rewards. One of them is a 4 star Sword. In addition, you are also able to unlock the Festering Desire and a total of 3 essences including Glimmering Essence, Warm Essence and Miraculous Essence.

For your information, the amount of Essence that you will obtain by completing the quest or the Acts, it will depend on your World Level. If you have a very higher level, then you will get more rewards and essence amount. However, if you have a low level, you will receive a very few reward and essence amount.

How to get a Glimmering Essence in Act II? It is important for you to know that Act II is started on December 25th, 2020. The thing that you have to do here is to complete the Archon’s Rival quest to unlock the Act II challenge. If you can do this, you will be given the first tier essence as a reward such as the Glimmering Essence.

You will see that there is a new icon of the map which will appear. The thing that you have to do there is to go to the place named Testing Grounds. It comes under the Dragonspine region. You need to  note that if you want to begin the challenge, you have to activate the mechanism.

When you get into this region, you will see that a Snowstorm appears and a group of enemies will appear as well. It is important for you to know that these are hard to defeat. However, there is a Ruin Brazier which will keep you warm. So, the thing that you can do us to go to nearby it. If you have beaten the enemies, you will be given a reward, the Glimmering Essence. As we explained earlier that the amount of essence that you will get depends on your world level.

The Use of Essence in Genshin Impact

In Genshin Impact, you are able to use Essence to buy items from the Event Shop. Also, you are able to obtain a new material by using the essence which is known as Festering Dragon Marrow. You are able to use it to refine the Festering Desire. The Complete Guide of The Chalk and Dragon Event

The period of this event’s gameplay is after updating to Version 1.2.

• The Act I begins after updating to Version 1.2.
• Act II begins on December 25th, 2020 at 04.00.
• Act III begins on December 28th, 2020 at 04.00.
• Act IV begins on December 31st, 2020 at 04.00.

The event shop period is after updating to Version 1.2 as well. If the Event Shop closes, any remaining Essence in your possession will disappear. So, you have to make sure that you can spend it in time.

If you want to be eligible for joining this event, you have to reach Adventure Rank 20 or above and then you must complete the archon quest Prologue: Act II ‘For a Tomorrow Without Tears’ and you have to complete Albedo’s story quest ‘Princeps Cretaceus Chapter.’ After doing these,  you are eligible to unlock the event ‘The Chalk Prince and the Dragon’.

The Act I begins after updating to Version 1.2. Here, you have to complete the quest Festering Desire to be able to unlock the challenges. If you have unlocked Act I, then the monsters that you defeat in the Dragonspine will drop Rime-Worn Fragments and Rime-Worn Crystals. Here, you have to gather enough Rime-Worn Fragments and Rime-Worn Crystals so that you can reach the goals of the challenges. If the challenge is completed, monsters will not drop Rime-Worn Fragments or Rime-Worn Crystals anymore when they are beaten. Also, the items of this challenge will disappear from your inventory. If you can complete all challenges in Act I, you can activate one of Festering Desire’s abilities.

In Act II, which begins on December 25th, 2020, you have to complete the quest Archon’s Rival to unlock the challenges in this Act. You have to complete the challenges so that you will earn a Glimmering Essence. On the map, you have to discover Testing Grounds. You must go to that place and activate the mechanism to begin the challenge. If the challenge begins, the monsters will appear and receive a buff from the Dragon Force in the Ley Lines. You have to approach the monsters with caution. Snowstorms will also appear and cause Sheer Cold to accumulate fats. So, you have to make sure not to stray far away from a Ruin Brazier.

In Act III, you have to complete the quest Raiders Amidst Snow Mist to unlock the challenges in Act III. You have to complete the challenges to get Warm Essence. On the map, you have to discover Draconic Pilgrimage, go there and activate the mechanism to begin the challenge. In the challenge, a Warming Seelie will move forwards following the flow of Dragon Force along the Ley Lines. You have to accompany the Seelie and beat the monsters met along the way.

In Act IV, you have to complete the quest Uninvited Guests to unlock the challenges in this Act. You have to proceed to the location marked as Frostborn Miracle to beat the Resurgent Cryo Regisvine and salvage Miraculous Essence.  You have to beat the monsters which arise in the surrounding area and then you can use the Scarlet Quartz that they drop to break the Frost Thorn and crush the Cryo Regisvine’s shield.
