As explained on the Teen Vogue site, it seems that Simone Biles is able to add ‘honorary Houston Texans cheerleader’ to her resume below “Olympic gold medalist”. It is because in 2017, she was gifted a pair of the squad’s legendary red boots and it made her first-ever “honorary” member.
During Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, the pair of red boots and also her cheer-tastic moves then were shown off on the field. On social media before her big debut, Simone wrote “game day feels”. She also made a pose for photos together with the rest of the members of the team who are wearing red boots. She also posted her “short/tall” picture with retired basketball pro Hakeem Olajuwon. In the photo, Simone Biles stands beside Hakeem Olajuwon who is more than two feet taller than Simone.
This is not the first time for Simone Biles for solidifying her chops as a dancer and gymnast. It is because previously, she appeared on Dancing With the Stars, even though eventually she was eliminated.
For your information, as explained on the Chron site, Simone Biles was invited by The Texans to join the cheerleading team for the Texans’ game against the 49ers on Sunday in 2017 at NRG Stadium. For her appearance in this event, she practiced with the team during the week and she wore the full cheerleader outfit when she blended in with other cheerleaders in the team.
With the Texans cheerleader, Simone Biles did two practices and she communicated in constant with some of the cheerleaders. It was done by her to make sure that she was prepared. Simone Biles said that they have been so helpful in and out of practice, sending her videos and all that and even just today, they are like ‘Let’s go over this’. She also said that they are so helpful in telling her how the crowd’s going to react and how loud it is going to be so to not pay attention because you can get distracted.

As you are able to read on the Sporting News, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been dating since before the Covid-19 pandemic started. It is informed that in March of 2020, they met on a dating app. It means that until now they have dated for around two years before they decided to get engaged.
On the Sporting News, it is also informed that Owens told Texas Monthly in June of 2021 that they then hung out right before the pandemic. He also said that it was one of the few times in her life where everything was just closed and she could not do anything. Furthermore, he said that they used it to get to know each other and it created their bond and made it stronger and he is so thankful.
When Owens and Biles first began to date, Owens confessed that he did not know who she was. He said that he had not heard about her and when he told her that, that was one of the things she liked. In August of 2020, in an instagram post, they officially made an announcement that they became a couple.
Jonathan Owens said that it was a match made in heaven and there is no better person for him. He also said that she loves him, she is affectionate and he just loves that.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are officially engaged where they posted their engagement moment on their Instagram accounts on February 15th, 2022.
Simone Biles posted several photos from special occasions and the caption said ‘easiest yes’. As explained on the Sportskeeda, she also posted her diamond engagement ring in a close up view. In the photos, you are able to see that Owens is on one knee while he is proposing to Biles in a traditional manner. There was a report that the engagement was held in a beautiful gazebo in Houston, Texas.
Owens also marked the occasion by posting several pictures from the engagement on social media and he said thanks to his friends for making the arrangement.
