What Time Does McDonald’s Stop Serving Breakfast Menu?

According to the official website of McDonald’s, you are able to get breakfast menus in McDonald’s from the time your local restaurant opens, usually at 5 am, until 10:30 or 11:00 am local time. However, on Fridays, according to some sources, McDonald’s usually serves breakfast menus until 11:30. Breakfast menus and opening hours in each restaurant may be different because it is decided by Co-Ops and franchisees at their discretion.

As cited from the USA Today, a 24-hour restaurant in Los Angeles, California serves breakfast starting from 5 am until 11 am and they offer a limited all-day breakfast menu. USA Today also reported that three locations in Maryland, Kansas, and Texas offer breakfast until 10:30 am on weekdays and until 11:00 am on the weekends.

If you want to have breakfast in McDonald’s, make sure you order before 10.30 or 11.00 am so that your order can be served.

Are Limited All-Day Breakfast Menus Still Available?

Starting from 2015, McDonald’s offered a limited breakfast menu nationwide. Egg McMuffin was the popular breakfast item in this limited breakfast menu. McDonald’s announced the limited all-day breakfast menu on October 6th, 2015.

“The All Day Breakfast Menu at McDonald’s starts today which means breakfast has been liberated! Say goodbye to the traditional notion of breakfast. 10:30 a.m. will no longer be the end of breakfast. Lunch, snack, dinner, late night – it’s time for Hotcakes at whenever o’clock. The time to celebrate All Day Breakfast is now!”

They also said in the announcement that All Day Breakfast was the number one request they heard from customers and since September 2015, they responded to tens of thousands of people who requested All Day Breakfast on Twitter since 2007.

However, in the beginning of the pandemic, McDonald’s removed the all-day national breakfast menu. In 2020, on McDonald’s Twitter account, they posted this:

When Did McDonald’s Start Offering Breakfast Menu?

As one of the restaurants that offer breakfast menus, McDonald’s really helps a lot of people. As we know that before going to school or work, some people may not have time for cooking or preparing for breakfast and McDonald’s can be their option.

Have you wondered when McDonald’s started offering Breakfast menu? Cited from Parade, this restaurant started offering breakfast over 50 years ago where they tested a Continental Breakfast in 1971. The Egg McMuffin, which is a sandwich designed by California franchisee Herb Peterson, was included in their initial breakfast. In 1977, their first national breakfast menus were the Egg McMuffin, toasted English muffin, hotcakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns and Danish.

Well, even though McDonald’s has been existed decades ago, this restaurant is still favored by a lot of people from different generations.
