JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass is an American-British documentary film which is released in 2021. This film is about the assassination of John F. Kennedy based on the 1992 non-fiction book Destiny Betrayed: JFK, Cuba, and the Garrison Case by James DiEugenio and on newly declassified evidence about the case. This film is directed by Oliver Stone and it premiered on July 12th, 2021 in the Cannes Premiere section at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. Whoopi Goldberg and Donald Sutherland narrated this film.

However, there is none more prolific and swimming in controversy than film JFK by Oliver Stone in 1991. 30 years later, Oliver Stone made a new documentary film again which is released on Showtime. The title of the documentary film is JFK Revisited: Through The Looking Glass.

This documentary film premiered at Cannes Film Festival earlier in 2021. The film presents a new look at the archive of material which is recently declassified and has been re-examined and then put into the public record. In this documentary film, the audience will be informed that this unsolved murder was not only shocking, but also it was probably calculated.

Whoopi Goldberg and Donald Sutherland narrated this film and there are new interviews with witnesses, historians and other experts on the subject.

About Oliver Stone

William Oliver Stone was born on September 15th, 1946. He is a film director, screenwriter and producer from America. Oliver Stone achieved an academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay as writer of Midnight Express (1978).

There are a lot of films that he makes focusing on controversial American political issues during the late 20th century. As explained on Wikipedia, different camera and film formats are often combined in a single scene as shown in JFK in 1991, Natural Born Killers in 1994 and Nixon in 1995.

Oliver Stone is the son of a French woman named Jacqueline and Louis Stone who was a stockbroker. He was born in New York City and he grew up in Manhattan and Stamford, Connecticut. In New York City, Oliver Stone became a student of Trinity School before he was delivered to The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania by his parents. In 1964, he graduated from The Hill School and then he was admitted to Yale University, but then he left in June 1965 when he was 18.

In 1971, Oliver Stone graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In the same year, he got a small acting role in the comedy entitled The Battle of Love’s Return.
