Cancelling a Non-Refundable Ticket in Delta Airlines

Some Tickets Does Not Apply Cancellation Fees
However, it is important for you to note that cancellation fees are not applicable to these tickets.

- Delta Main Cabin and above tickets for travel within the United States, Puerto Rico, and USVI.
- Delta Main Cabin and above tickets for travel which originate from the United States, Europe, Canada, Africa or the Caribbean to anywhere in the world and it includes flights which are operated by joint venture and codeshare partners.
- Basic Economy tickets are excluded.
Let’s say that your ticket is not included in the No Cancellation Fees policy above, and then cancellation fees or charges apply and start at $99 dependig on your itinerary, but it can change. Note that the applicable fee is listed in the Fare Rules for your ticket. And then, you will get the remaining value of your ticket after it is deducted from the cancellation charge or fee. The remaining value will be received as an eCredit. It excludes tickets which are issued for travel which originate in Mexico that cannot be canceled or changed. For tickets which are issued for travel that originate in Korea, tickets will be refunded to the original form of payment after deducting the cancellation charge. For your information, the eCredit has its expiration date and it depends on the terms of your original ticket and any applicable waivers.

If you want to apply for a refund for a refundable ticket, you have to request a refund for an upcoming trip by visiting Find Your Trip page on the Delta website. You have to make sure that your ticket must be a refundable ticket, bought with a credit card, cash or check. And then, your refund will be issued to the payment method that you used for buying it.
Cancelling Your Trip Protection Plan
If you want to get a full refund of your premium, the thing that you have to do is that you need to cancel it within 15 days of your plan purchase or as determined by your state of residence. Besides, you also must not have filed a claim or departed on your trip. Note that after this period, premiums are non-refundable.
